Insane! My brother and I did a full scale tabletop model of Helms Deep when we were kids because we were and still are so hooked by this films/books. Loved to see the OGs working on this, looks stunning!
Amazing. Always great to see more of the Glittering Caves. I'm hoping in the not too distant future we can see Éowyn's sequence of scenes in there, and all of the additional unreleased Helm's Deep moments.
I dream of being part of Weta's creative team, I admire all their work!!, and I am grateful that it was Weta, who brought the Lord of the Rings to life.
Oh man, I am SO MAD I missed this! I’ve been waiting years for a Helms Deep collectible only to just now realize they were released recently and sold out already 😢 Such a beautiful model
I really enjoy you putting out videos like this, and I hope they continue! The new Helms Deep environment is beautiful, and I have already preordered it. The lighting features are terrific and add a great dynamic to the piece. I didn't see it in the video nor in the photos of it on your website, but I'm hoping that the glittering caves have a lighting feature as well. Thanks, Weta for this and the wonderful LOTR collectibles that you create!
Absolutely stunning piece...these videos are so impressive and so important to see, they really bring the pieces to life. I think you've just made me change my mind and hit that pre-order button....great to hear Richard, Leonard and the team talk about the pieces! Really well done to the whole team, beautiful work!
Wow that’s beautiful. I wish I actually had money… My favorite film in the fantastic trilogy was The Two Towers, precisely because of the power and emotional weight of Helm’s Deep. Though far smaller in scale than the assault on Minas Tirith, Helm’s Deep featured a particularly powerful message: we saw just how much even the very young and very old were willing to endure on behalf of their loved ones. Potent stuff, and seeing it was a significant part of Aragorn’s character arc, helping him to fully accept his role in the final film. I am not at all surprised that this cool miniature project is quite emotional for you. Your work was a major component of a film trilogy that deeply impacted my youth. I recently poured my heart into writing a short story specifically to highlight and uphold the most powerful elements of the Battle of Helm’s Deep. It is intended as a deeply respectful tribute for all that the Trilogy accomplished, and how powerfully uplifting those films are. If you are interested in giving it a look, it is posted on fanfiction.net. The author is WillDreamer. The title is “The Children of Rohan.”
It's beautiful and I was intending to buy it even though I already own the Helm's Deep released almost 20 years ago. But why did you get the height of the horns on the tower wrong? They're too low in the new model, compared to the top part of the Keep on the right! And it's obvious when you see the reference pictures you show in this video! It also seems the Deeping Wall in the new release is shorter than the film version?
I want this piece so bad, I have the Minas morgue piece and it’s beautiful. I’m holding out though for either a re release of the black gate or Barad dur
Still waiting on an anniversary piece for Unexpected Journey and my Argonath has too much caulk at the waterline. A battle Thorin on ice to go with Azog should have been put out years ago. And a Beorn.
Weta. I have a question about your somewhat strange shipping policy. I live in the U.S and have bought some figures from you. Each one was a pre-order so I didn't know it was strange. lately, I noticed that you guys charge a shipping fee for EACH item(ones that are in stock and ready to ship) even if they're from the same region and also exactly the same item in multiple orders.(granted you are charged a few dollars less for each increment) but It almost feels like I'm being punished for ordering more. For example, if I were to order 3 "Billbo at his Desk" the shipping fee is whopping 77 dollars vs 29dollars when ordered just one. Not to mention they are from the US warehouse. Could you please tell me why?
Sir Richard Taylor and Tania, first thank you for your personal message detailing the problems and solutions with the past quality problems due to the pandemic. I apologize as a collector for being one of those who was upset, and not realizing the difficulty you have had due to the pandemic. I am sorry. This piece is literally exquisite and I personally can not wait for this piece. Thank you for all the work Weta and Leonard have put into this piece. A big thank you again. Gsalotrfan. I must admit I would love to see an updated Golden Hall on Mt. Sunday (Meduseld) with lights. Be great with an open door to see inside like Bag End on the Hill. Just a wish.
I really want it but... space is also an issue... any chance you guys can give an (small) discount code to pull me over the (purchase)line? You know... to make up for losing my previous statue with the postal service? Hint hint. ;p
Looks great at first glance - but when you actually get into the details they are so proud of - many are sadly not really that accurate in comparison to the original - which they made themselves, so they should have no trouble checking it, right? Ah well, at least these collectibles are cheap, so a few mistake can be easily forgiven, right? Right? Oh. Oh my. Holy cow, thats a lot of money...
Lol for many of us peasants the films will be as close to a model of Helm's Deep as we get. And the tower is off scale. Also can the lights be fixed if needed?
Yeah no you definitely know more about the details of this sculpture and its resemblance to the original than the actual artists and studio that worked on the movies. Right? Also, one thing is to build a scenario to be used for shots in a movie and another thing is to create a collectable sculpture of that same scenario. So yeah, I'm sure they did a pretty good job.
I cannot wait to get this, and my brother isn’t a collector of anything like this, but I’ve bought him one too because he loves The Lord of the Rings. With all the added payments to get it to the UK too, please make it to the best of your ability, thank you very much!
The two towers n helms deep set design are timeless masterpieces..good job artists! 20 years?.. Feels like yesterday.

Thanks for sharing this amazing sculpture with the world..... Many happy returns to the two towers... Twenty years! Were has the time gone...🙏✌️
Just got it!!... It's incredible, thank you WETA.
Oh man, I am SO MAD I missed this!
I’ve been waiting years for a Helms Deep collectible only to just now realize they were released recently and sold out already 😢
Such a beautiful model
This is going to be incredible. I can't believe they put in the glittering caves!
Another gorgeous piece from such a talented team - Well done!

@@wetaworkshopnz Pre-ordered now! 😊
This looks incredible, can’t wait for it to arrive!
Wow, this is a masterpiece! Stunning!
*The Helm's Deep is a masterpiece of fantasy architecture together with the city of Minas Tirith.*
Beautiful! Amazing work!
In the future, any chance for Edoras with the Golden Hall?
Fantastic...one of my favourite scenes and enviroments too.
Высочайший уровень. Просто фантастика.
So next year we’ll get Minas Tirith?
Hard to believe it's 20 years ago already. Just bought the trilogy on 4K, so it's time I rewatched them.
Awesomeness piece!! 🎉
Beautiful!
Incredible look. Absolutely iconic. 😮
Fantastic work guys.
Love this piece, I am very excited to see it in person
Great job on this! Looks really stunning!! 🙌🏼
Well, saddly a few details are off, but not as bad as the Argonath...which I'm still waiting for but plan to sale as soon as I get it...
Wow that’s beautiful. I wish I actually had money…

cut that young model maker some slack, it’s probably his first assignment and only watched the movie once.
@@user-yk1cw8im4h not sure what your sarcasm is supposed to express... my observations are factual.
Lovly artwork🎉

Is it on scale for Warhammer models?
Big fan of your Collectibles!
Are you guys making more figures of fandom?
( Sauron would be my dream :) )
Are all models hand made or just the original which us then copied with like 3D printer or something?
Dol Guldur please
They go for $900... 😮😮
