- I am really excited to introduce you guys to "Rise", a spray painting I have made to show how we rise above depression. Depression affects all of us at some point in our lives at varying levels and in many forms! I hope this video shows that we can always rise again from the ashes! The phoenix woman in this painting was created with a multi layered stencil which I cut from poster board. The remaining elements are using some basic spray paint art techniques to create a multiverse scene where our down and out girl rises again!

Tom, it’s beautiful. Living with depression is hell. Medications and counseling can help, but it still feels like it’s not enough sometimes.

This is absolutely beautiful I've struggled with depression for almost 6 years now and I think that this is the best way I've seen it represented
I suffer from depression and mental illness and up until recently I got on the right meds and landed a good provider, in my darkest of dark times your videos helped me and they still do today, thank you Tom for always spreading such positivity! Kindness goes a long way!

Just found this video, and it's a very welcome reminder. I started a new job in August, and it's burned me out so much. Since August, my apartment flooded, my father died suddenly, and my mother spent a stint in the hospital. I did reconnect with my extended family on my mother's side, and they've all been incredibly loving. I even spent Christmas with a bunch of them today, even though we don't celebrate it. I love them all so much, but there are still so many parts of my life that are going to be difficult to navigate in the coming weeks and months and my functional depression makes me wonder how I'll manage any of it. But all I can do is try to focus on one thing at a time.

bro thanks for that iive been needing something like that for a while so thanks for making my day. anyone with depression isnt alone, we may feel like it but we arent. sooner or later hopefully we will be able to get up and stand strong again. depression is shit yes, but its apart of life so we have to be strong and dont let it get a hold of us. 😀easier said then done but its true👍

For two decades I have been suffering, often being told by family to just get over it. Needless to say, I don't have a lot of family in my life. And that only makes it harder.
I am tired of the two dozen medications I am on. I am tired of trying to find the right concoction of drugs. I am just tired of this shit hole world. I want to watch the world burn so everyone feels how I feel. Even then I'll still hear it is all in my head.
