    Thanks so much! I’m making laser engraved key chains to pass out this Sunday for pet care givers for our Blessing of the Pets Sunday. You just made my life so much easier. Can’t wait to see what other videos you post. Thanks man!

    I used to do the cardboard cut out but I found easier way that works for me. I start by getting a piece of wood depending on how many keys you want, then measuring your key to laser cut to size, then you have a permanent template. First cut out on scrap wood a single piece to get a perfect size. I also have a pen engraving template, it works perfect. Enjoy 👍

      Smart idea. I have thought about it but I know I’d never get it lined back up properly. That’s why I do cardboard

    Awesome video. Short and to the point. I would like to know how do you know your template is in the right spot when you put it down? Do you have a thing like the clack shack where you lock it in place?

    • @SodaCityBoards
      @SodaCityBoards  Рік тому +3

      Thank you so much!
      I actually get so many shipments every week between supplies from amazon and multiple other vendors and I cut the boxes and pile them up in my garage and when I need a jig I just tape it down and cut it for a one time use! Then when I am done take it up and throw it away.
      I have thought about doing it where there are parts to lock into place but have not come up with the material to make it yet.

    Great job. Do you happen to have a link/template for the keychains file? And thickness (or link) of the cardboard used…I like this technique and it would be really helpful for bulk orders. I appreciate it

      Hello,
      I don't have the file anywhere other than on my laptop, I just made 2 rectangles the sizes they need and welded them together and cut it out.
      As for the size it was a fedex box!

    Hi, love the video but when I download and open the file in lightburn, when I preview the burn it only shows it's going to engrave 'blast' but not cut the jig for me. What am I doing wrong? I am new at this and it's confusing me.

      Hello! Thank you very much!
      I actually did my own website through shopify and build websites on the side - Have done probably 30-50 for different cornhole building and woodworking companies in the past 2-3 years! I would love to help out if you need it!
      Shopify is by far the best in my opinion and the easiest to learn as well. I use the Shopify payments processor for my website.

      @@SodaCityBoardsI do websites as well but thanks for the offer. I want to try pic on wood. What did you use for settings on d1? Do you use imagr to fix photos?

    • @SodaCityBoards
      @SodaCityBoards  Рік тому +1

      That is awesome! I highly recommend using Shopify for your website. Best there is in my opinion.
      For my engraved photos I convert them over using imagR then did a power speed test to find the settings I liked engraving wise I believe I do around 5000 mm/m or 6000mm/m at 100% power and 0.080 Line interval.
