I don’t understand why so many people are complaining about the price. Everyone was asking for a smaller more affordable scale Draco and now that it’s here people won’t shut up about the price and complain that it’s just a UMX. It’s not a UMX. Get over it and get it or don’t don’t get it. No one cares. It’s awesome.

Eh, the kids are both sick, we’ve been sick off and on for a while now, and the industry has undergone some major changes recently that have really affected us in a big way. It’s okay though, just been a rough day and overall the last year almost has not been easy. Moving on!!
I have this beautifully detailed micro for a week now. Buyer Beware: This is not for you if first micro rc plane, not even second, maybe third. As lovely as it is , it is super fragile even for a micro. There are alot of flimsy plastic pieces. The prop and the landing gear assy will break even by just looking at them funny. Do NOT fly from hard surfaces until you become fully comfortable with it. Also note parts are hard to get right now because this model is very new on the market. Good luck.

I am a single Dad of a BEAUTIFUL 16 year old Daughter, I have a WONDERFUL Girlfriend, and I have bills like the rest of everyone and I am not raking in the money so I have to save for anything I want for my Hobbies. I love to Shoot Rifles and Handguns, I love R/C Crawlers and Trail Trucks and I absolutely LOVE to Fly R/C Airplanes and I save up to get them. With all the technology packed into this Airplane, $200 is a good price in my opinion, and my opinion is coming from a normal working person.
@@AerialRCFun I don't know of any Scale Airplane that is as accurate of a copy of a real 1 to 1 Aircraft, well used to be real Aircraft for this price, size, weight and so forth. Well maybe other E-Flight Ultra Micros but I don't believe there is one as close of a copy as this one. Maybe the Air Tractor but still this is a little larger and more capable as far as power. I will have to come back to this statement and update it soon as my 2 Draco Micros come in, and only the Good Lord and E-Flight knows when that will be 🤣 If you have an opinion on a $200 Airplane that can compare to this one please share with me because I would like to look at it to possibly buy one in the future.

From what I'm seeing I feel the $200.00 price tag is reasonable. I'm wanting to see a review of this model using the 3S battery. Are the Micro DRACO linear servos any beefier than what you find on the UMX planes?
I'm good with whatever they come out with calling it umx and keeping it under 250 grams. I actually wish they would release planes closer to 250g for more practicallity and capability. Yes xt30 or another standard would be great.

I just bought the micro Draco, the rods are attached very weakly on the flaps... But I got to tell you it's a beautiful plane and I just did the maiden and it went great three successful landings in heavy wind they were ugly on grass two of them but still an awesome little plane... And it was right before dark so the lights were shining so cool.. 4 stars out of five here
It was built to be as close 250g as possible. If i remember correct its 238g with a 4s 300 mha battery. To me its # 2 of the sexiest plains behind a P38. Got mine today, and having a hell of a time geting the safe or smart to work. I programed something wrong in my dx6i.

I think the price is fair considering the scale details, the 4s power plant, and that it has an 800mm wingspan compared to the UMX that are 700mm and under wingspan. I'm happy only it's 239 grams with the 4s. That means you can add a micro FPV system keeping it under 250 grams, which is awesome I will not have to register it.
@TheRcSaylors QUESTION FOR EVERYONE THAT GOT THIS PLANE????? I love both draco’s and now have a handfull of flights on the new Micro. Does anyone else’s have a roll rate like Nate’s? Mine has a very slow roll rate and only one aileron moves fully and the other one moves only partially. (Same deal with my umx evolution) I feel like both Nate’s ailerons are moving 100% at the same time to get that “Nate Roll Rate.” Great video.
I’m not sure what the controversy/belly aching is about. I buy these fly toys and scale crawlers for fun! All are overpriced in my opinion but I buy them anyway. 🤷🏼♂️ I say buy whatever you will have fun with then get out and enjoy it! It’s a sweet little plane it seems to handle the wind 💨 not to bad at all the plane I use it to have could not handle any high winds but I still love flying drones happy flying all and I’m late again 😂😊😊😊😊⚓️⚓️⚓️⚓️

Wow, nice! It flies very scale comapred to the real thing! Those take-off where the plane fairly leaps into the air are just like the real thing. It would be nice if Flite Test came out with a similar scaled Freedom Fox, Trent Palmer's plane, you could have two members of the Flying Cowboys, admittedly, the two most famous members fly in formation, and perform scale versions of the STOL dragracing as they did in real life. Patey's DRACO almost always won, he has been designing, flying and racing planes for decades, but Trent has gone from someone who was afraid of flying to one of the best advocates for General Aviation out there. And only DRACO of the Flying Cowboys could consistently beat the Freedom Fox.
IMHO, HH wanted to avoid the fiasco they had with the losi promoto release, where everybody released their videos, and they didn’t have enough on stock.

The reason it has linear servoes is because it was built pourposly to be under 250g. Its i beleive 238g? Well its 23xg. Im getting a second 1 as i was stupid and planted my 1st. Fusalages are on back order till Oct. Its Aug now. Only $30. Wing is $60.
I'm a week away from buying the apprentice stol S and now they're coming out with this surprise launch, which one do you recommend to start with? I must say that where I live there is a breeze sometimes and I would like something easy to fly but something powerful? 
Mine Draco seems to be falling apart rear fuselage by tail wheel keeps fracturing not because of heavy landings main wing had crack appear hot glue is constantly refixing it any feedback from you guys o also managed to lose one shock absorber
I’m sure this is same size as my micro tundra from hobby king , I think tundra is 50mm smaller in wingspan so now I have two micros I will have to put them together when I get mine Nate , here in uk I won’t be getting mine till 16th march but I’m counting down the days lol 😂
4S might have been overkill, but I’ve only flown it on this 4S pack. Will have to try 3S to know for sure. I think a 4S 650mah would be nice for longer flight times, but that might be too much weight? 300mah just didn’t feel like a long enough flight time at all.

Will this plane handle a 3s 800amp lipo ? It's a much bigger plane than the micro turbo timber, but I know my umx micro timber could handle the weight of a hobbyking mobius on the top ?
Between the UMX Tractor and UMX Turbo Timber Evo (Have both) does this Draco have its own personality? I guess I'm trying to ask is what do I get? A draco or an UMX A10 30mm EDF warthog
I have the umx turbo timber evo and micro draco and can tell you the draco is harder to fly due to heavier weight and much less forgiving due to many flimsy plastic parts.
@TheRcSaylors If you get the bind and fly spektrum version it's about $165 which is comparable to HH umx planes, but you get retracts, flaps, and lights. I think I will get one soon, but I blew most of my budget pre-ordering Draco...
I got mine in the air for the first time today and after 5 minutes of flight time the flaps started to crack and separate from the wing. It's a nice plane but kind of a bummer that the airframe started falling apart after 5 minutes.
@@TheRcSaylors i think hes saying this isnt an UMX. Horizon said this is a "micro" plane not "ultra micro" like previous models. UMX planes can be flown in very tight spaces.
IMO yes, a beginner could easily handle this. However I also think there are a good handful of other planes that would be a much better choice than this as a first time flyer. 👍💯⚓️
Can anyone help with regards to if I can operate this with the Spektrum DX6e? I'd rather not have to spend the extra money for an NX6 if I dont need to. I'm just getting into planes and am wanting to get a Conscendo 1.5m glider and this 800mm Draco and hopefully a DX6e will happily fly them both. Any advice would be gratefully received 👍
I think so, yes. However there are a few airplanes out there that are more suitable for a first airplane. Regardless, a person could pretty easily learn to fly on this RC 👍💯😎⚓️

I think the price is fair considering the scale details, the 4s power plant, and that it has an 800mm wingspan compared to the UMX that are 700mm and under wingspan. I'm happy only it's 239 grams with the 4s. That means you can add a micro FPV system keeping it under 250 grams, which is awesome I will not have to register it.

I love both draco’s and now have a handfull of flights on the new Micro.
Does anyone else’s have a roll rate like Nate’s? Mine has a very slow roll rate and only one aileron moves fully and the other one moves only partially. (Same deal with my umx evolution) I feel like both Nate’s ailerons are moving 100% at the same time to get that “Nate Roll Rate.”

All are overpriced in my opinion but I buy them anyway. 🤷🏼♂️ I say buy whatever you will have fun with then get out and enjoy it! It’s a sweet little plane it seems to handle the wind 💨 not to bad at all the plane I use it to have could not handle any high winds but I still love flying drones happy flying all and I’m late again 😂😊😊😊😊⚓️⚓️⚓️⚓️

I’m glad they kept it a JST connector, so I could use all my TT batteries without an adapter, which wouldn’t fit.

Wow, nice! It flies very scale comapred to the real thing! Those take-off where the plane fairly leaps into the air are just like the real thing. It would be nice if Flite Test came out with a similar scaled Freedom Fox, Trent Palmer's plane, you could have two members of the Flying Cowboys, admittedly, the two most famous members fly in formation, and perform scale versions of the STOL dragracing as they did in real life. Patey's DRACO almost always won, he has been designing, flying and racing planes for decades, but Trent has gone from someone who was afraid of flying to one of the best advocates for General Aviation out there. And only DRACO of the Flying Cowboys could consistently beat the Freedom Fox.
IMHO, HH wanted to avoid the fiasco they had with the losi promoto release, where everybody released their videos, and they didn’t have enough on stock.
I pre ordered the day it was released, and now it's listed as in stock but mine hasn't shipped yet 😢

The reason it has linear servoes is because it was built pourposly to be under 250g. Its i beleive 238g? Well its 23xg. Im getting a second 1 as i was stupid and planted my 1st. Fusalages are on back order till Oct. Its Aug now. Only $30. Wing is $60.
I'm a week away from buying the apprentice stol S and now they're coming out with this surprise launch, which one do you recommend to start with? I must say that where I live there is a breeze sometimes and I would like something easy to fly but something powerful?

Mine Draco seems to be falling apart rear fuselage by tail wheel keeps fracturing not because of heavy landings main wing had crack appear hot glue is constantly refixing it any feedback from you guys o also managed to lose one shock absorber
I’m sure this is same size as my micro tundra from hobby king , I think tundra is 50mm smaller in wingspan so now I have two micros I will have to put them together when I get mine Nate , here in uk I won’t be getting mine till 16th march but I’m counting down the days lol 😂

4S might have been overkill, but I’ve only flown it on this 4S pack. Will have to try 3S to know for sure. I think a 4S 650mah would be nice for longer flight times, but that might be too much weight? 300mah just didn’t feel like a long enough flight time at all.

Eflite timbers are a good beginner plane that you will not get bored with in 2 weeks.

I have the umx turbo timber evo and micro draco and can tell you the draco is harder to fly due to heavier weight and much less forgiving due to many flimsy plastic parts.
Have you guys flown the micro Lockheed Electra with retracts from Rage Rc yet? I wanna see you guys review that.

@TheRcSaylors If you get the bind and fly spektrum version it's about $165 which is comparable to HH umx planes, but you get retracts, flaps, and lights. I think I will get one soon, but I blew most of my budget pre-ordering Draco...

I got mine in the air for the first time today and after 5 minutes of flight time the flaps started to crack and separate from the wing. It's a nice plane but kind of a bummer that the airframe started falling apart after 5 minutes.

@@TheRcSaylors i think hes saying this isnt an UMX. Horizon said this is a "micro" plane not "ultra micro" like previous models. UMX planes can be flown in very tight spaces.
Only if you are experienced. This model is heavier than typical umx and alot more fragile.
Is it good for beginners I think an easier to fly with more stability and less aerobic capability would be a better first choice. I want one too....
IMO yes, a beginner could easily handle this. However I also think there are a good handful of other planes that would be a much better choice than this as a first time flyer. 👍💯⚓️
Can anyone help with regards to if I can operate this with the Spektrum DX6e? I'd rather not have to spend the extra money for an NX6 if I dont need to.

Of course. Dx6e will work with it. Dx and Nx are very simular. Same protocol.

I have used the 4s 450mah pack. It handles it fine. Will put it right at 250 grams or a little over.
