+Ben Goldberg im seriously interested in knowing how you were able to listen to music the entire trip, can you give me some tips for when I go? I need music playing for like at least 7 hours a day
From a 62 year old that really dislikes most of todays music; these guys have true talent and style. And someone clearly knows how to use a recording studio.
"We Went Wild" (Lyrics) She was wise beyond all others On the island she was my lover We went wild and it almost killed me, I was blind But for thirteen days of sun and her I thought I'd never die I couldn't get tired, although I should have been sleeping For the first time I wasn't hard of feeling And at night, while the others were dreaming, we went wild We'd go running through the temples and the forests of the isle For thirteen of those sleepless nights I thought I'd never die I don't know what the hell it was that gave us so much life On the island we went wild, we never closed our eyes Don't know where she's gone or what she's done to who since then She loved me right into the ground. I won't go wild again I thought good times could last forever Long nights and perfect weather I tried to never say never, but I was wrong The wildness of those days couldn't last for long I woke up on the beach one day and found that she had gone The rains had come, there was no sun, I felt so deadly tired After thirteen days of loving her I felt like I could die We went wild
"Don't know where she's gone or what she's done to who since then. she loved me right into the ground and I won't go wild again." - omg. some of the best lyrics ever written. ♡
I think that's what it's there for. I also think poetry/music/art can always be understood strictly in your own being and that's why it's beautiful. However, I think with some things we GET IT, when we're ready to get it.
Love this song so much ! Everything about it makes me stop what I am doing to give it my full attention. Someone left quite an impression on the writer of this song
He travelled and backpacked there apparently and stayed for months before finally coming back to L.A. He did it for inspiration because quote "it was a very beautiful place with such rich culture, I kinda uh- (chuckles) wanted to implement that in my music? Like that's where we got most of our inspirations from."
Last 6 months this track spinning on my head... especialy intro.. am from south india.... in this track they used Thambura kind of sounds which usually from Karnatic music .., this sounds wonderful fusion.
There aint words can describe how i felt when listening to this art the first time and understanding the lyrics.. So much emotions at the same time.. Strange but amazing
I saw Lord Huron a few weeks back when Nataly Dawn was touring with them. They put so much effort and energy into this song, it really was amazing, they went wild.
I am absolutely amazed! So much positive energy in this, so rare these days and yet so much needed. By far the best and most refreshing over the past few years I've heard in music generally speaking. Usually I carefully pick who I compliment, but this time I will be honored to show you a massive respect and I wish you best luck in your further work. p.s. only 12,603 views? Well, hopefully the sign of quality, and the bright days that welcome you all. Cheers!
Whispering pines version of this song may be the greatest thing ever. Although I say that about every song on whispering pines. Amazing stuff. Thank u LH!
I was caught off guard. I can't stop listening. fret tapping, frightened rabbit style melodies and fleet fox harmonies..i hope i can make it out to asheville wednesday to see you guys
I grew up in the same area as Ben Schneider, went to the same University, even spent summers on Lake Huron. Yet just discovered Lord Huron about two years ago. WTF

This is incredible... There is not one Lord Huron I cannot add to a playlist. 🎉 Not even one! 🤔?? Hardly any band can pull that off. Ok no more words. 🆗😎🆒🎼🎸🤗☠️ Edit: Had to sub.
xDemonic Kitty The two men are wearing Balinese Hindu textiles. These are worn when making an offering to the Gods. The woman running is probably the Goddess Parvati, Goddess of Love and Beauty. I can't tell what or whom they have lain on the ground, but it appears it's a human dressed as an animal and a mistake may have been made that cannot be reversed. ;)
My mum was listening to this on my Amazon Alexa, I'm at my dads at the moment and accidentally disconnected her whilst listening to this and played it through my phone. Best accident of the year so far!
It's part of the 'Into the Sun' LP that Schneider worked on before Lord Huron. It isn't available for purchase anymore unfortunately, but you might be able to find it on Spotify.
I hiked the Appalachian Trail 2,185 miles And Lord Huron got me all the way
sounds like you went wild. she lit a fire would be fitting in that setting...actually all their songs lol
+Ben Goldberg Did you forget one? :P
+Ben Goldberg im seriously interested in knowing how you were able to listen to music the entire trip, can you give me some tips for when I go? I need music playing for like at least 7 hours a day
Need a solar charger plus a high end battery its so worth the weight
+Ben Goldberg I see what you did there
I am always feeling like traveling while listening to Lord Huron. It is the only band able to make me feel this way and that is amazing !
Océane Vié for some reason, lord hurons music and aesthetic makes me feel like adventuring in the snow during winter
Listen to Owl City, that band makes me feel the same way as Lord Huron
@@brentmoury6372 in a few months I'll be looking at out Lake Huron listening to Lord Huron and I'm so excited!!

MrSteve280
My dad said the same thing! He is 59. Grew up with talented musicians.
I'm 14 years old and I can't stand the new "music", during class I only listen to these guys
Most people do it for money and popularity nowadays.
Of course, you need money but people forget quality.
MrSteve280 the music these days is just a piece of Trap shit. I only listen to music like that. sorry for my englisch i'm 14 and from germany :'D
bajasummit listen to Grateful Dead..American Beauty album
His music seems so timeless, and wise, yet still youthful and expectant of a long vivid future. I wish it could be the soundtrack to my life.

Lord Huron is so... UNDERRATED!
Exactly
I don't think I've ever met a Lord Huron song I didn't like...most to obsession! The music, the lyrics, the voices...they all got my attention!
Such a magical sound, what a fantastic song.
The more I discover an assortment of music/artists, the more I learn about myself.

Those oriental instruments really gives the song an extra dimension
WHY DID IT TAKE ME THIS LONG TO DISCOVER THIS BAND
RIGHT?!
I'm thinking the same thing right now.
OMG! Been saying the same thing, I've been listening to them on loop the entire day at work. They've put me in such a relaxed but productive mood :)
Amber Vanderlinden Wondering the exact same thing?
Me either
But its worth a wait ❤️
loving the background! I wonder why Ben loves Indonesia so much!
because why not..
I think he used to live there man
Maybe he lived there in a last life 🤔
He travelled and backpacked there apparently and stayed for months before finally coming back to L.A. He did it for inspiration because quote "it was a very beautiful place with such rich culture, I kinda uh- (chuckles) wanted to implement that in my music? These guys are awesome. Ben Schneider is a legend!
This sounds like something I would play while on a long road trip in another country... Best. road trip. ever.
Grand and even festive. I'd enjoy seeing the lyrics included here.
I love that the art is Balinese or indonesian....im from around that area.. its so pretty
Kind of interesting how the vocals seem to be accompaniment to the music and not the other way around.
BALI!!!
Indonesia hadir :b
Last 6 months this track spinning on my head... especialy intro.. am from south india.... in this track they used Thambura kind of sounds which usually from Karnatic music .., this sounds wonderful fusion.

well put, i was definitely caught off guard, and the fleet fox type things going on are soothing.
definitely. this is one of the rare times I hear ONE song and buy an entire album without hesitation
I grew up in the same area as Ben Schneider, went to the same University, even spent summers on Lake Huron. Yet just discovered Lord Huron about two years ago. WTF
PCT got me here.... Simply beautiful
The songs are created by one man, the rest of the band was added for touring support. The Into the Sun EP was only him.
Love them and LOVE THIS SONG!
Love it. Perfect song to work in your favorite coffee place.
man, some of these lyrics....you just know they're talking about something,.....
skarfaced no doubt
This EP is like Vampire Weekend meets Person Pitch in the best way possible
"We Went Wild"

The new album comes out April 7, 2015.
Ohhhh-- awesome.
I'm here in 2017, waiting for news on the next one. Also, I'd like to know where I can download the EP. Legitimately, of course.
You can buy it here:
lordhuron.bandcamp.com/
love it but an earlier reference would be Lindsey Buckingham very nice sound Ben Schneider!
xDemonic Kitty I believe the guitarist/singer paints most of the artwork you see on these videos
Sounds like one of the Police songs "Everything little things she does is magic."
How can I buy this? Is there an older album?
It's part of the 'Into the Sun' LP that Schneider worked on before Lord Huron. It isn't available for purchase anymore unfortunately, but you might be able to find it on Spotify.
Is that a pict of women dance from Bali Indonesia?
This song reminds me of the first time I read "The Life Of Pi." To my mind, this song sounds like something by Sting.
indonesian tradition
Agree
