I’m at my wits end and I’m glad I found your video
My son has had a 504 plan and for the 3 years he’s been at this high school where he’s a senior now with less than 3 months to graduate . The school never made the accommodations and he does have anxiety but I don’t allow him to be on meds. He has walking breaks and smaller class room size and none have been accommodated. He is brilliantly smart but he gets so bored in classroom settings. He actually did better when it was remote learning but the Dean of his school will not allow him to study from home, because it’s in person learning. Adhd is his condition he can’t still still for long and because he has missed so many absences because he says the day is too long. Please advise I live in Illinois

as a child with severe add, anxiety, and depression; i have come in with psychiatrists notes and had my parents make meetings yet they still say i don’t qualify for the things the law says i do (i don’t take meds or attend therapy). i’m so done with the school district. even when i did have a 504 a few years ago in the intermittent school they didn’t even give me the things i needed.

Why do school administrators not care and not follow accommodations in the 504 and IEP?
Why do I the parent have to work twice as hard to hold the administrators accountable?
