An extra tip for that final anime touch (i learnt it from whytmanga) is to duplicate the picture and gaussian blur the duplicate and then put layer mode as multiply

Thanks to you, I’ve learned so much about how important layering can be, it always seems to bring just as much life as you would want into a drawing, now that I know how to create pretty cool backgrounds I can start making pieces I can be proud of, enough with the white or checkered backgrounds for me.

IbisPaint is really cool! The only thing that prevents me from working on it is that the maximum canvas size is very small. The canvas can only go up to 4,096 pixels. At the very least it should go up to 5,000 pixels to produce more professional work.
In Procreate, the largest canvas size on the iPad Pro is 8192 x 8192 pixels, or up to 16384 x 4096 pixels.
IbisPaint is better than Procreate in a lot of ways because it has more features. But it's unusable at this time for professional work because the canvas cannot be made big enough.
In my phone it can go up to 10k × 10k
This is beginner asking, uh.. why 5.000x5.000?

I know this is kinda cheating, but hey, as long as the picture is free for the public to use it's okay (this is coming from someone who also do that). However you should really put a practice on background if that's one of your art bucket list, just saying.
It's not cheating. Its combining mediums, drawing is not the only form of art, photography and editing are art too, so you still made the background yourself.
@Yumna Rizwan is it okay to get a background pic from Pinterest then like make a rough trace of it for like perspective then draw the details&color on your own or is it considered cheating? (Sorry for asking u lol I just have nobody to ask and UA-cam won't tell me anything)

It made me realize that some (or most) backgrounds in anime we watch are actually photos in reality turned into anime style background 😯 I've always thought they were drawn and it is a complicated work!

Hey, maybe you guys should make an animation app! I would DEFINITELY use it!
Just please make it free to use, and like the drawing app, but its animation. Cause people who have Samsung (or cant buy procreate) love using your apps, and I love the fact that it's free, and the things you need to pay for (like brushes) make sense. Flipaclip just doesn't work for me cause the paint bucket tool leaves behind white lines, and it's really hard to draw on that.

*For the flipaclip lineart,here's a tip!*
You should copy the frame before you start.Then when you're finished with coloring,you just paste the copied lineart over if a couple of times until it's gone.It's a bit of extra work,but it looks much more pleasing.
That place is already look like an anime background to begin with... It took me 5 seconds to ascertain that it was, in fact, not.
