I had mixed feelings about this game. Like you said it was much improved, but at the same time I didn't feel overly compelled to play it because there was nothing to unlock. I didn't feel motivated to play.
Sad thing is you can hear that Bobby was quite poorly in the commentary

@@QuiltHoncho I like to have a goal when I play a game. In SD vs Raw you unlock arenas and characters/wrestlers. In this there was nothing, no real motivation.
This game wasn't amazing but the roster was a dream come true for me as a kid and it provided some fun. During the years when Consoles had so many random spontaneous games you'd find at the rental store.
Ah, I miss rental store weekend game rentals too! The excitement of picking up something that looked interesting (or a tried favorite) and sinking hours and hours into it. I discovered some of my all-time favorite games that way! :)

9:20. I love the realism. Hulk hits Macho with a stick and the ref gets knocked out. Way ahead of its time 😅
I miss Acclaim Entertainment games,these were okay.
I am aware that I may get a lot of hate feedback for this, but I only wished that if they merged with Electronic Arts, Acclaim would still be alive today instead of going bankrupt in 2004. 😥

This game is such a flashback to my childhood
I loved all the legends of wrestling games this one though favorite for just having Sting and Ultimate Warrior. Also Abdullah The Butcher is beast.
Rented this game a lot in a time where the wrestling i know were from the attitude era onward, made me appreciate a ton of the golden era guys way more. Wish i could play it nowadays, gameplay wasnt on SvR's level but it was still good arcade fun
