About Drilbu Ri kora:
A massive eco-walk (9th) was organised at Drilbu Ri mountain, a sacred place for Buddhists in Lahaul, under the leadership of Kunga Rinboche and Palaga Rinboche. This eco-walk was organised by the Young Drakpa Association with religious fervour among Buddhists from Lahaul, Ladakh, Zanskar, Pader, Kullu, Kinnaur, Spiti. The mountain, situated just above the Tandi Chandrabhaga confluence, is believed to be the seat of Acharya Matisara or Guru Ghantaapa and the height of this mountain is about 5000 metres above sea level. Acharya Matisara of Nalanda University came to Lahaul in the 7th century and did rigorous penance and meditation in the caves of Drilbu Ri mountain. It is also believed to be the pilgrimage place of Chakrasamvara, the presiding deity of the Kargyudh sect. Considering the religious importance of Drilbu Ri mountain, His Holiness Dalai Lama, Gladan Tripa, Gelung Drakpa, Taksang Rinboche have also visited Ghanta Giri before. According to both the Buddha Ratnas, spirituality has so much power that it can easily transform hatred or greed into affection and love. Apart from this, it is said that the Gandharva marriage ceremony of Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati was also performed here and the wedding procession of Shiva and Parvati arrived from here.
