You are right about the live version I have seen her concerts few times here in U.S and she's amazing.
btw the first performance, the Run to you was recored in 1999. 1999-2003 for me is Her PEAK PRIME.. 2004 onwards she switched her vocal technique which was placed more nasopharyngeal and so was less resonant compared to her peak prime. but today, she's back to her peak prime vocal placement and her age has also put more weight and soul to her belts now.

My favorite Regine era was during the late 90's.
Actually, Regine sang RUN TO YOU a year ahead of Christina Aguilera. This specific performance was part of her live album recorded and released in 2000 called REGINE LIVE: SONGBIRD SINGS THE CLASSICS. And in 2001, Christina performed RUN TO YOU as a tribute to Whitney in BET AWARDS.
