Something I just realized: in the episode this appears in, the door was opening to Marceline’s someone song before she was “thrown off”. This makes me think she was about to reveal that she still has feelings for Bubblegum and wants to repair things with her after their breakup, but after looking her in the eyes she backed down. She then changes the final lyrics to a reprisal of wanting to “bury her in the ground” and “drink the red from her face”. However, this change is what closes the door since the door wants the truth, so if she had revealed her true feelings they would have gotten in. I can’t believe I didn’t put this together until I just recently watched that episode.

When the finale comes(Which I hope is in infinity years from now), I see a series of episodes(5 to 10)where Finn, Jake, Fiona, and Cake coming together somehow, and Ice King's crown getting taken by Ice Queen, making her their final fight. Don't know why, but Ice King sounded real in that one episode about meeting Fiona and Cake, so I'm sure that's how Finn and Jake and Fiona and Cake will meet. But I also see Marceline, Princess Bubblegum, Prince Bubblegum, Marshal Lee, and Ice king getting separated from Finn and them in some alternate dimension, where Marceline tries desperately to get Ice King to remember her. Lastly, after everybody meets up, in the final fight, I see Ice King sacrificing himself to save them, fatally wounding himself in the process, remembering his past life in his last moments, and Marceline and Marshal turning human. Honestly, I'm just spewing Ideas, on a completely irrelevant video, but it's early in the morning, so forgive my inner ten year old speaking, and my confusing word choices.

They confirmed that they WERE together red. And I think the showrunners are doing their best to show they are back together again without spilling the beans too obviously (like kissing or saying it outright). Since the show also airs in countries were same-sex couples are forbidden they will probably hold back until the last episode like LoK did.
They forced that relationship in after a non-canon story by Marceline's voice actress had it in one of her books(?) and people went nuts over it. She tweeted that it was not canon but the tweet was taken down. I would've much preferred characters written for the original relationship rather than fan service and piggybacking off of Steven Universe. This is coming from someone sexually attracted to men and women.
This episode and “Too Young” were what first got me into Adventure Time, wen we were on a plane they only had two episodes, “What Was Missing” And “Too Young”, and I watched them repeatedly for the entire flight, and they got me hooked.
Yo.. this is really good... probably the best version yet. It really fits marceline's personality and the tone of the scene. If I were a writer for this show I would definitely get with whoever made this. Genius.

They confirmed that they WERE together red. And I think the showrunners are doing their best to show they are back together again without spilling the beans too obviously (like kissing or saying it outright). Since the show also airs in countries were same-sex couples are forbidden they will probably hold back until the last episode like LoK did.

They forced that relationship in after a non-canon story by Marceline's voice actress had it in one of her books(?) and people went nuts over it. She tweeted that it was not canon but the tweet was taken down. I would've much preferred characters written for the original relationship rather than fan service and piggybacking off of Steven Universe. This is coming from someone sexually attracted to men and women.
This episode and “Too Young” were what first got me into Adventure Time, wen we were on a plane they only had two episodes, “What Was Missing” And “Too Young”, and I watched them repeatedly for the entire flight, and they got me hooked.
