One of the main reasons why I love Filipinos doing covers is because they put their heart and soul into the songs they are covering that you dont see from original artists.
I actually like this version better than the original. Not that the original is bad, but the harmonizing with these super talented artists is amazing.
They also sang with so much more emotion. I never really paid any attention to the lyrics before, but now I actually know what the song is all about.
Where do you think the harmonization came from if it's not from the original?even this cover is based on mariah's acapella...no matter where you go at the moon at the stars at difference galaxy...still never and ever will a cover defeat the original cause this song will be remembered by the original mariah and boyz ii men not katrina and budakhel...this version will be remembt only by filipinos sorry...
@@HappyKat9 the one who wrote this song will sing it with much more emotions than the one who just get the song or cover it...cause all the words and melody comes from the writer she experience everything...and also emotions is subjective...
@@rezaariel8406 sometimes the pride of Filipinos can be toxic. As much as I love my fellow countrymen and our culture I really hate when you have too much pride. They will make toxic comments such as “this version is better”, or “they’re better singers”.
@@frisc0pn0ib0i don't get me wrong okay i love filipino singers too...honestly katrina is my favourite singer so far from Philippines eventhough im not from the Philippines...i love katrina and budakhel it's just that i hate their fans who keep downgrading mariah and boyz ii men in other comments i actually don't care at first but then they keep coming wrote this version is much superior and said that the original song have messy runs and all over the place and even said mariah didn't sing as much emotive as katrina what!!!!???...they can praise katrina and budakhel but dont mention mariah and boyz ii men...yeah this version is different but it's still take the sample from mariah's acapella...this version too me is the mother of all cover that came after this but still mariah and boyz ii men's version is superior and can't be replace..
These guys blend so well together. I've heard this performance before, but having a heart full of sorrow because of my brother passing away yesterday, this time it brings me to tears. So glad you guys reacted to this one💜

It is especially poignant because Katrina was married last year and then within 6-8 months he had passed away. I can't remember the circumstances, I guess that doesn't really matter, but she has had to believe the message of this song.
Daryl is about the finest male singer from the Philippines. Darren Espanto and Dave Lamar come close. Their voices blend well and their harmonies are ridiculous.
