Get her microchip! Its a super helpful way to permanently have your info with her. Any vet or rescue can scan it and her chip number will register to you guys and someone can call. So glad she is safe!
Allison Wallace Yes, of course she should be chipped but that’s assuming she didn’t get hit by a car, attacked by,other animals or stolen by people who find her.
Hopefully they get her spayed also. That will decease her waiting to roam so much. They were just saying she was in heat. Often they do the spaying surgery and microchip at the same time. Maybe even an electric fence if this keep happening.

Invisible Fence!! It totally works!! She will learn to not go past your property line! Please get this!! I was so worried about her!
Apey Dee I heard form a dog expert that the invisible fences get ur dog afraid form going out side and is hurts them too
Animal lover my dog has one and it beeps 3 feet before the actual line, so he gets back but if he keeps going then he gets shocked. He’s a small dog so it’s a small shock. He’s not scared to go outside, he loves going out! I think it would be smart for them to get one for Luna until she learns the lot line since this is the second time she’s gone missing.
Animal lover I have 3 dogs and we have an invisible fence also. My dogs are definitely not afraid to go outside!! They love it and are out there about 90% of the time!

The best solution is to keep her INSIDE THE HOUSE while you are gone. Electric collars don't always work, and GPS tracking doesn't keep her safe from coyotes. Either that, or build her an outdoor kennel for when you're gone if you don't trust her inside unsupervised.
Get an invisible fence around the front of your gate , it’s an electric fence and they have over 1,000 different levels.
Chelsea M. I have an electric fence and my dog has not escaped nor tried since the first time so he loves running around and we don’t have to worry about him
My dog, who is not terribly huge, would just walk through the invisible fence, since it only shocks them for so long. My neighbors had a dog that learned if she stayed just to the outside of the fence and let the battery run down from the warning beeps, she can get out without being shocked. No, these fences don't work, especially if you have a really intelligent dog.

You should defenitily think about getting some kind og GPS tracker for Luna, if she's prone to escaping. I did that with my doggie, who used to escape every chance he got.

O was at dinner with my husband and our neighbor called that our dog was outside our house, we have a mastiff dog so nobody wanted to get him because they were scared. We had a group of about 10 people helping us look for him and the police, thank god we found him outside our neighborhood but we were so scared that we decided to get him a tracker. (Like a gps) you mark a safe zone (your house) and if they ever leave your house you get notifications on your phone and it tell you where they are and what route they took.

I know what this is like on my birthday last year ( November 15th) My dog went missing she was 3 years old at the time this was very hard for our family. We never found her we just hope she's safe

A microchip does NOT 'mess up' a pet.
Ella vlogs it won’t mess a dog up. Many dog owners have their dogs microchipped and it’s actually preferred. But it comes down to the owner and their opinion

Hey Bryan and Missy what you could do for luna is you could plant a wired forcefield around the property so that way if she leaves she will get shocked but she will know not to go past. I'm so glad luna is home. Have a safe and fun Halloween!

You should try one of those collars that has a camera in side and when ever it goes past a certain point it will notify you on you phone
Since this is the second time maybe if it happens again I would recommend a chip? I’m not sure if they only get them when they’re younger or whatever but if someone takes her and maybe even Karma to any adoption center than can skan and see if they have a chip. Then they will contact you! I have one for my Cat and used to have one for my dog

Katie Arns not unless they’re trained. A dog like Luna shouldn’t be kept in a refined area for a whole day. Dogs can hold their bladder easily and you let them out when you get home. Ask any proper pet owner if they keep their dog in a kennel when it’s necessary and if it shots all in it’s cage.
Miss Abbi AWESOMESAUCE!! Not all dogs can hold their bladder, if my little needs to go pottyand noones home he'll pee on the floor and hes housetrained, he needs to go outside either for a walk or just in the backyard to relieve himself every maybe 3-5 hrs...

I hope you get her spayed asap, now that's she got out and she's been in heat she could have easily been bred, and heavens knows we don't need any more dogs in this world. Plus she probably wandered off to look for a mate. If she were spayed you wouldn't have to worry about it.
