Agreed. If you're interested in the fabrication side of things, have a look at 'Make It Custom'. Karl Fischer is incredibly skilled and just the coolest guy you could think of.
Good work, very Cool. Your a one man show, very hard work. To learn to do everything on your own without help, been there done that. You make it look easy, this is very hard work.
Casey, you are an absolute Mozart of Metal, a Betoven of burnouts. You create the most creative daily drivers from a bygone era, mixed with second hand muscle and bare bones budget. I salute you brother, but wouldn't want to be your spouse... my thoughts and prayers with the fam.
This build turned out so sick!!! 55 is my favorite Chevy. I'm trying to build an 87 Squarebody. But I've always had a soft spot for those early 50's Chevys. 54 Chevy taillights are one of my favorite taillights ever!
This is so cool. in 1952 my folks had a 51 Pontiac Chieftain that looked just like this chevy except it was green and had Pontiac chrome stripping on the hood and trunk. Great memories.
Anyone playing with a 4.3, and have a crankshaft, camshaft correlation code, pull the distributor and check the drive gear. The gears will get so worn on the distributor they will be razor sharp. Don't throw money at it buying new sensors. Just change the drive gear. Just seeing Casey changing the cap and rotor reminded me of the gear issue.
Awesome car Casey! I love how you blended the original dash with the Blazer dash….great job stretching the front clip…..you got a lot of talent! Wish I lived closer to you….
So refreshing to see a real hot Rodder building proper "average guy" cars we can all aspire to. I might only have $5k to build a car so chip Foose won't be getting a call anytime soon. We are constantly bombarded with these Foose/West coast customs type shows where they spent $250k on cars id be scared to drive or park on the street. Yeah, they are works of mechanical art, but you remind us all of what proper hot rodding is actually about. Good on ya mate. Looking forward to the next video.
Hello there cowboy here again I'm very happy with the way you did it at first I was thinking it just wouldn't work the match didn't seem to be there but you pulled it out and it's much better than I thought it'd be should be fun to drive and get plenty of attention at car shows it'll fit several different types of shows rat rides custom's and antique look forward to seeing how she is accepted at various shows nice work keep doing what you're doing and remember always be safe healthy and happy God Bless 🤠
cool fookin car, my first automatic car I ever drove was a 1948 pontiac inline straight 8m had that massive hood ornament with the red lens material wings, lot like this one here but I believe it was a 4 door, this was early 70's so been a minute, it was forest green mohair, coolest car ever I believe it was a silver streak torpedo... lol, I torpedoed it across the pasture into the neighbors fence when the throttle got stuck either that or the river, owner chewed my arse out good, luckily it was so heavy duty it did no damage save a few scratches, took the fence post and concrete rightout the ground.. I love those old cars, peeps today have no idea, the weight, the suspension, the big steering wheel, 5 turns to full . . .like riding on a cloud tho... man I miss all my old cars, all of them, they never made a bad car like you never heard anyone before like the mid 70's say , yea but those were lemons whatever, they were ALL good cars as Americans took serious pride in their work, they cared, and quailut was A #1... todayit all shyt made in chyna or some other dump, and these butt plugs they have destroying the show today are making it all worse by the minute . . . sad, but the old cars can make me forget..
Man i just came across your channel and started watching the mustang/bmw swap and man i just gotta say you build the absolute coolest cars on an honest budget and i absolutely love it.
Great job. Next door neighbor had a 52 Buick. Always loved that body style. All cars u have around shop are sweet. Can't wait to watch other vids and content.
In mid 50's my parents owned the Pontiac version. I was 5 around that time and recall it was badged Chieftain with that sloping back. I love that you brought it back from the brink. I also now own a 98 Blazer so maybe I'll cut off the top!!!! probably not. LOL
Casey... I'm sure ya probably won't see this comment. An that's okay. Census video has been out for quite a while now. This is the 3rd time I've watched this video my UA-cam friend. I love this car so friggin much Casey. For one...she's one of my favorite Chevy body styles. Then what you did for it, is so friggin badass. And what's your dad did with the roof is old school and rad as hell. Sure you might've been able to do it even better. But for a 3500.00 build. This cars friggin my dream car. When I seen the video where you said the winner couldn't afford to take it. I was so blown away about that. Just to have the ability to cruise this car to different cruise ins an car shows and be able to throw out there that Casey's Customs built this car would be totally friggin a dream come true for me. I love your channel so much bro. It just blows my mind the things you can do with cars. Granted there's many people that can do this. But I don't watch them, I watch you and appreciate your skills. Keep up the awesome Channel Casey. You always keep me riveted on every video you put out. I want to thank you for sharing your knowledge and skill with the world. I'd love to meet you and shoot the shit. Keep On Keeping On Brother!!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I love this build but one side note those 4.3 vortec put out 160 HP stock not sure what it's putting out now that you boosted it a bit but that's all. Keep up the great work dude 🤟 it was a fun build to follow.
fyi Chevy-GMC 4.3l 262ci Vortec V6's put out 190hp in late 1990's-2000's S-10's and Blazer's. . earlier 'W' engines in '93-'94 were rated at 210hp in Blazers and Jimmy's. Altho S-10's and Sonoma pickup's remained 185-190hp. They (GM) almost always put the more hp's in Passenger vehicles ie Blazers and Jimmy's. . Van's Big C20's 30's etc.. Station wagon's too. Great Job Casey.. I used to own a 1952 4dr Style Line Deluxe Sedan Bomb.. I also own now a s-10 '03 3rd dr.ext cab. also just tonight picked up a Grandma Cremepuff '98 Blazer S-10 4dr 2wd. it's Cherry Dude. 2nd owner here and lucky to have found it real clean and original. All info paper work including orig window sticker. Awesome Build. Keep up the Amazing Content.
@@RabidSnot cool. So the 93-94 TBI 4.3 made the same HP as a TBI 5.7? What size valves and what was the CC and flow rates for those heads of the 93 and 94 you listed to gain such a significant jump. Also I see that you omitted 95 which was the last year before vortec what happened in that year? I know they did oddball stuff with the GMT 400 and platform and I'm sure it carried over to other platforms as well but on the 400 they used a different throttle body and one year transmissions amongst other things that were done that were not related to driveline. But now I'm curious as to what was the BHP on the 95 4.3
@@ogt92fromthe1step9 They GM might have carried over from '94 into '95 that W mtr. I don't all the details but the '93 S10 Blazer Tahoe I once owned in 2010 was one of those more hp engines. I read something about lighter pistons, different rods, Crank weight etc.. something to look into more. for sure. TBI and EFI or whatever else they used I'm not really that knowledgeable about.. I'm going to go read up more on it now. I do know the Tyhpoon Cyclone were HO V6 Vortec engines. also my '93 was a Vortec.V6. idk what year those first came out but I'm thinking '86 ish.. the GMC Jimmy shown in this episode is more than likely a 190hp Vortec V6.
@@ogt92fromthe1step9 Yep I knew that. Minus the turbo and underneath the Typhoon engine was a Vortec V6 262ci 'W' engine I think but minus turbo look at the time period. 1992-93-94 makes sense to me maybe underneath the turbo in those AWD 2 year only super Bad Ass machines there was a V6 at the heart of it. Fastest Car produced in 1992-1994 btw was the Typhoon and Cyclone. it even beat the Corvette in the 1/8th - 1/4 mile drag race. was even close to a GSX. but it was a lil slower. I believe.
I enjoy watching your videos. I need to chop the top on my 48 Ford Truck cab. your video shows you taping and marking the lines and removing the rear window first and top. Can you show a video of installing the cab top and rear window. Thank you
You amaze me.....Wow, your head is full of knowledge on doing such as this. on the back near the fender, did you body fill that , sand and rattle can paint.......looked great.
Most cars I've worked on have connectors for the doors, they are normally in the kick panels. You can unplug the whole door from the car, better for you and the person who buys them
I love your cars man. But this is my favorite. IT gives me motivation to work on my 1951. I have a while before she is road ready. But I'm getting closer and closer.
Needs airbags up front. Try a Shockwave air over shock in place of the stock shocks, and take the torsion bars out. Or get one of the kits that mount airbags to the torsion bar keys.
Great job Casey watching this video was like you being Noah and making that 51 Chevy your Ark love how you did everything yourself on budget specially the way you combine two vehicles into one I know the budget was $3500 that's if somebody's doing all the work themselves but in reality how much would something exactly the same way you built plus all the labor/time you put into it would cost? Some people don't have time/garage or ability to build such a art piece. PS those cops sounded like they were definitely There for you You hit the Batcave just in time keep up the great videos/work
You have giving me a new idea for my 40 oldsmobile! And i had a whole bag of mulch in my rear floor for a long time... and its the most solid part of the floor.. weird
Awesome build Casey iloved watching from start to finish, I didn't win but some lucky fella did hope he has a blast in it PS. ABSOLUTELY LOVE THAT BLACK 50 Take care tell little man hey.
Do you still have this one? My dad had a yellow with brown roof back in 56. He had it painted plum red at Earl Scheib in 1960. Even the hubcaps became plum. Loved it in its stock condition. You're great.
hey so theres an ae86 forum that tells you how to camber these, 12b, 14b, ford 8, 8.8, 9inch, and stock ae86 axles 3-6 degrees, while adjusting the hub ends to remain straight so no camber at the wheel. that may help you clear the frame rails a little bit more so you can go even lower. im doing it with tubes cambered upwards for more low since the unibody frame rails arent an issue
The skills you display in this "budget build" would take many years to acquire and perfect. All that said, an excellent project to display the skills necessary to do a budget build.

Your video editor does a great of giving just enough of the details and still get the whole series represented.
Way better than any channel on a television channel.
