The funny thing is also that Dario Fo has on purpose, in some plays, the same actors in some roles and the actors are commenting on this. So someone called for it before them 😉
I have to admit, Foil’s character really spoke to me at the end. Every time I do a long performance of some kind and the audience wants more than one curtain call I always end up smiling like a maniac but muttering “go home go home go home, I wanna go home!” through gritted teeth whilst still on stage 😅
I hear you😂 I used to be a ballet dancer. Sometimes I was in a great mood and basked in the standing ovations and other times I wanted to throw the bouquet of flowers a little kid inevitably gives you into the audience with as much force as possible and go stomping off the stage.
Honestly that's on the venue. Do one curtain call and then turn on the audience lights to tell them to stop and go home. That way you also don't get the awkward slow death of an applause.

We kept professional, but kept shooting glances at each other and back stage was whispering up a storm. Just what went wrong?? After a nice older woman came up and said she loved it. So much she barely held back her laughter. When we told her it was fine. She was supposed to laugh she clutched her chest and exclaimed, "in a theatre?! That wouldn't be proper!"

With all his complaining I'm surprised he clapped at all! Many funny lines in this one. Love the laugh correction, and Hog's expressions/interjections :D
I feel like Hog dressed as the snob character on purpose. Like, he could have worn anything else and sat in the background.
I also like how it leaves so much to the imagination. Is it the Snob? Does the Snob have a twin? Did the Snob bore the guards to death and break out of jail only to go back the the theatre? Is this a continuity error? Is there a multiverse with different versions of the Snob?...
@@flishyfish922 Lol, to me it seems like a toned-down version of the Snob. Loved reading your speculations of a twin or multiverse, though :D!
Love how you brought the snob back in, great touch 🤣
“I can still see the kitchen!”
After years being in ‘Props’ for my school plays all I can say glad Foil noticed! 🙄
I can totally relate to feeling like I have to pretend to be captivated when sitting in the front row, lol
I smile so much it makes my mouth cramp up! 😂
Going to the theatre tonight so here for some tips. I'll get practising my theatre laugh.
This actually got my blood pressure up - people who talk / don’t be behave in the theatre are the absolute worst. At least he wasn’t checking his phone or taking pictures!
With the flash on 😩
"They're only coming back on because we're still clapping!" 😆 He's not wrong but still...
Thanks for a great reminder that it's Thursday, lads!
To add even more confusion, In some places (Where I'm from atleast), Cinemas are often called "Movie Theatres", Or simply "Theatres" for short. And Plays are sometimes called simply "Shows", Which coincidentally can also refer to a TV show.
This almost turned into A Snob murderers someone at the theatre
I like to think these are the same pair of friends from the sketch where one was obsessed with ending credits. This is his friend's revenge!
HAHAHAHA this is my new favourite sketch 🤣
"I'm doing more acting than he is!"
Cracked me up, actually all of the lines did. Yes, my cheeks hurt and yes, I'm totally watching it again 🤣🤣🤣
the little detail to put snop behind LMAO
The Snob doesn't look so snobbish in his natural habitat.
Nice to see that the Snob has got out of prison and is enjoying the theatre again!
You forgot the bit where you're in the middle seats, need a pee and the guilt/shame of getting up means you've injured your bladder for life.
The snob survived the shanking! Yay.
Even in a supporting role the Snob is hilarious 😂
I‘m a bit shocked the Snob didn’t bring a cheese plate and red wine with him, I guess prison changed him for the better!
Foil really has a talent for playing the annoyed character 🔥🔥
I appreciate FAH making theatre accessible for all and providing educational resources on what to do/not do when attending said establishment! Although I thought the snob did tremendously well in not lamping Foil! 😂
Good luck with your LIVE shows! I do hope you get to tour Asia too.
P.S. So happy to hear you’re on your way to reach a million. All the best!
Let's share them everywhere! With everyone! As much as we can!!
"I'm doing more acting than he is" is a pretty amazing line. 😁
Brilliant! Will definitely think of set changes as burglary scenes from now on! Happy Thursday!
I don't think Gerald will bring him to the theatre again after this, do you? 🤣 (Love how the Snob was lurking in the row behind them!)
I love the snob character just casually in the background
Chekhov's burglary scene made my day.
just had an intense conversation with a theater loving friend about why prefer film and he doesnt, we're German, so theres a rich tradition in both and in the end it really is just taste, but thus gave me fuel to send to him to ignite the discussion again :D
As the daughter of a theatre director, I loved it ☺️ and I'm sure my dad would have laughed too!
Fun Fact: In Indian Cinemas and Theatres, we have an Interval Point. There was a time when movies had 2 intervals.
There is an interval in plays too??!!! I am sorry, never been to a play, yeah I know, such a disgrace, but this is such a breaking news for me. May be should go to one now. Thanks!!!
We have them in Switzerland too. You need a break so you can go pee, especially
With those 3 hour long movies!
I don't think I've ever seen more than one intermission in a film, and usually those are older ones based on plays. Some of those three hour epics could use one though.
Halfway through my uni degree in theatre acting, this is brilliant! Although the unspoken rules of theatre are a bit more relaxed where I'm studying, some people in the audience still manage to be a pain! But I agree, first row seats are the worst. Also, how do they manage to lie there for the whole play? I also have to look at the chest for signs of life 😂
When the snob is the one you side with, you know someone is being too real 😂
But of course, the snob has to ask a question too!
"I'm doing more acting then he is."
Golden.
