It has NOTHING to do with it being hybrid and EVERYTHING to do with something being wrong with it. The ONLY time these animals abandon offspring like this is if there is something wrong. If they did not want hybrid offspring they would not be interbreeding with the other species. And hybrids often are smaller and have a lot of issues that we can't see BUT the mother's sense the problem and will abandon because it takes a LOT of resources to raise a healthy offspring let alone trying to raise one they know won't live.

It was a unfortunate situation. But in some circumstances, Rosie has killed her offspring before they say because it was a long tail instead of a short tail.

Is there anything your government could do to humanely eliminate some of them? I have seen a lot of old, sick, injured, and dying animals in some of these videos. The person doing the video knew the Mom didnot wantvher newborn but continued to place this baboom in the mothers presence. He didn’t even try to latch. These aren’t like human babies. It doesn’t take a bunch of tries for them to get the nipple in their mouth. It is instinct for any animal actually to abandon their offspring if they sense any kind of defect. The VOs prolonged this guys suffering. Especially because they force fed him while they had him so he wouldn’t try to latch when they gave him back. She repeatedly smells him and puts him down right after he was born in the first video. There is no way you can tell me who is who. Unless they have visible features that are different from other ones, or are missing a limb or whatever, there is no way you can tell which monkey is which.. they all look alike. After watching them for awhile you get to notice differences between them, same as with people. With Rozy her right hand is the dead giveaway. With the little ones, a lot of the times the shape of their ears gives it away. Behaviors also stand out.
