nah, we have some problem about testing wedges formation, in cav wedge, range test and cav teest give almos same result, please explain from outside and inside :))
I assume you don't send an infantry testing march ever because you don't want to forget that you put yourself in Cav Phal? Or is there another reason why infantry marches can produce bad info? I ask the latter question because I do basically the same thing as you but usually with 150k t2 troops and no fams but sometimes my inf does literally nothing but my range doesn't do an unusally large amount indicating cav front. When this happens I've just assumed the target is online and switching formations on the fly and so I go away, but happy to learn if there's something I could be doing better
I dont send inf using the methods i shown here just because there is no need to semd it. You can figure the front line out with just the cav and range march.
@@tobiasschobitz7220 you aint wrong, but I built my rally lead account to be lean as hell. So we go to a lot of tier 2/3 kingdoms, no reason to go to titan kingdoms when we can feast on idiots
Inf tests tend to do less damage(or even zero) to range front than range test itself. Thats because inf is the slowest and its dead before it reaches range.
You can confuse this test with t1 troops. I use 75k t1 inf with my ranged phal defense and it kills my t1 inf before my t2 ranged. First rally that comes in against me is always a cav blast.

Cav front- both do damage. Range does most
Inf front- both do damage cav is higher
Range front- range does damage but cav does barely anything
What gear is on when testing?

You're doing something wrong. Should have same result as testing phalax and wedge. It is impossible to see wedge or phalax with a test march.
There is only 2 ways I know of seeing if someone is in wedge or phalax. Both ways need a rally to hit.

Inf is very slow-footed on battleground. Most of inf are wiped out by enemy before attack, and no result can be left.

If they're switching on tests, they're not very bright.
