Yooooo THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO. Because of you I made sure to check shinies that spawned after a non shiny alpha and I had the exact same thing happen!!!! I took many videos lol
I'm just now seeing this video and want to give an important update for those that aren't aware (based on the comments I've read) because I tried this myself before realizing what happened thanks to a popular shiny hunter, Thumbus (I don't know where the info got out but I heard it from him) So at the time this video was made, you was able to soft reset and the pokemon rerolls the odds of being shiny. However, since version 1.1.1., that method no longer works. Whatever pokemon shows up in the outbreak, stays that way until you leave the area. So if you save your game and the shiny is there, you're always guaranteed that specific shiny. This is a double-edged sword effect for obvious reasons. This method also implies to massive mass outbreaks.
This method was just the fact that there can only be one alpha at a time in an outbreak, so you always catch your alphas first to make sure that your shinys aren't alpha.
Very true. Alpha is 1% chance I believe so 1/100. I would also make sure to save before the shiny has spawned, it could also have to do with the fact that it is one that spawns in later so if your outbreak starts with one it may not work. I'm not really sure. Try to spread the news so someone who can actually look into the game files gets ahold of it. Haven't seen anyone talk about this at all.
@@BlekPowers Oh ok but just to clarify so it's possible to get a shiny alpha in a outbreak just by hard reseting an out break that has a shiny? Sorry I'm just hoping this us true..

We did find out however that an outbreak can only have one alpha spawn at a time, so that shiny Eevee was always coded alpha but the game forced it to be normal because the other alpha was there, so I got lucky because I chose to catch the alpha first the last time.
