One day I updated my map and after that my level and points are not showing in google map.
I tried logging in there was a pop-up that sorry we are temporarily unable to add you in google local guide program
Please help me out. What could be the problem
A local guides I'm Chandan I'm a level 7 local guide living in India Sasaram Rohtas Bihar and today we're at one my favourite places in pragya kunj.
When it was built this was actually the most expensive single - family residence in all of India but today it's open to public as a public park so I like coming here occasionally to take in the beautiful landscaping they have a koi pond and of course it has awesome views of park
I actually found out about this place by accident on Google maps and that's why I love the local guide community because without local guides you might never find amazing gyms like this in your own city so I hope to see you guys for connect live 2020 in California thanks.

I think, the owner has to add you to a playlist, but if you cant get a hold of them, you should still be able to add, for example, this vid to a playlist. I think. Im just trying to help, lol

Google need to tidy this whole project up. I have not only met someone who did but have read many stories of people who can easily sign up to a Google account. Leave their opinion (rather than a factual review) of places and businesses they have never been to before to amuse them self's and build profile points treating it like a game. And once a business has a negative review the owner of the business can't have it withdrawn. The only option is to reply. Google even have a page specifically for this of how to reply. They forget people searching for a service or things give the star rating their first glance. I could sign up for an account today and leave negative reviews then log out and never return. And all those places or businesses will never be able to rectify it properly. There needs to be a vetting process and for people who leave negative feed back they should get a follow up email from Google to confirm their views. Failing to reply could simply mean google retract the negative feedback. Also more support given to genuine reviewers. I am not a computer programmer. But I do take good photos and write actual reviews. So maybe different groups. The reviewers and photographers. The computer techs. And a moderator. And allowed to communicate in a simple closed group forum. Having to select a similar question or topic is pointless. Some times there's no similar topic or similar question. And when there is the answer might not apply to the question raised encouraging the reviewer to not ask. There's so many areas to fix and yet it could be done easily.
I totally agree with you! And also I would like to add that I know people who get paid to leave fake reviews. I have noticed some accounts following me that the same day review places all over the world, places that they can't have visited. There should be some control on these fake reviewers
I like this point raised. A review is based on ones perspective, at some point some intentions are to sabotage.

I am a lever 8 local guide, but as I "grow" I am also realizing most of the reviews I read could easily be fakes, written for fun ot to fet an hourly pay.
Recently 100+ people started following me.
Some of these followers seem like real people and customers of the places they reviewed.
Most of them look like fake profiles, reviewing places they have NEVER personally visited. I know lots of people get paid hourly to write reviews.
Those profiles reviewed in the same day or week 20+ places in different States or Continents. They don't describe any precise experience, just random comments. Google should monitor those profiles who create daily high volume of reviews.
One of the questions when adding a new review should be "have you personally visited this place in the past (I would specify the time frame allowed)...".
Those profiles who create an unrealistic amount of review per day should be monitored or deleted, as they evidently reduce the credibility of real, legitimate Google local Guides who slowly contribute with their time for free, and give a honest opinion

I just got email from Google Maps that they have Apply for the Connect Live Conference this was before 9 months proximately i got that email, and the second i applied I lost my LG level and i couldn't access anymore and i contact Google maps about that and unfortunately they couldn't help and i lost the hope and i feel very sad i was very active and exciting sharing experiences of the places where i have been, and even i was reading the rules all and I didn't go against the rules everything okay with me the told from Google maps team it's a mistake and we will solve it and now it will be one year and nothing happened please if you can help me to get back my LG level i Will appreciate very much thanks in advance,

I have updated the hours of my local Pannikin Coffee shop in Encinitas CA 4 times in the last 2 months, but my updates never stick. Even got confirmation via email from Google Maps that my update is published, but that turned out to not be true. Who do I contact about this obvious process flaw? It is so frustrating seeing people arrive at the store after 5pm because Google Maps still says they are open until 6pm.
This is so stupid, in 5 months I been losing 17 thousand points in goggle map 😥😡

Nice introduction. I love being a Local Guide (currently Level 8) but of late I've been disappointed with increasing reports of wanton suspensions. I'm one of the victims. I was unsuspended but I'm not sure of anything anymore. I'm actually afraid to make contributions because I might just get suspended again. It's painful. Please look into this.
