I think I started watching your vlogs shortly before you moved to the second place. I loved your walk abouts seeing all the pretty flowers and building styles. You still take me to places I will never see. Thank you for keeping me entertained during covid and now.

Lived on Sycamore off Hollywood Blvd 1969 to 1971 .Studio apartment for 115 dollars per month.Can’t imagine what it would be now.Hollywood back then was fascinating but always seemed spooky at night.Enjoyed the adventure.
115 a month? Wow. I’m sure it’s probably 3,500 now.

In the eighties an apt in Montrose was about 300. Glendale too (my hometown). I left Ca 2008. Can’t afford to live there.

It's great to see that area looking good. You actually filmed those homeless tents but I had no idea that was near where you lived. (Ugh!) It's also good to know that you lived in a normal apt. I wonder if Jah feels home.. Amazing they are cleaning things up. What I feel better about is seeing you were in a normal sized apt. It always looked like you lived in a closet.

Fascinating. I agree - onward and upward. I don't like to revisit the past but I appreciate what you had to go through to get to where you are today. If you're not used to living in a major US city this story may sound horrifying but it's really typical for LA or SF or NYC or Chicago or DC or Miami. Horrifying? I love living in big city. So much to do and see. Lots of diverse and interesting people to meet. Small towns are too boring.
@@westcoastdude4777 Spot on!!! Why is it the norm to whine about living in a major city and cheer on living in the sticks? Cities are diverse and have culture. It is really frustrating that the powers that be have allowed majors cities to be overpriced for the middle class.

Hey Jordan, hearing the details of the first place you showed reminds me of my situation. I didn't plan to be a renter my entire life, but I've been in my rent-controlled L.A. apartment for 29 years. I have a spacious 2-bedroom apartment in a great location and, while I won't say how much I currently pay in rent, I paid $550 per month when I first moved in back in 1994 (which was a steal even then) and it is still such a bargain that, when I was considering buying something a dozen or so years ago, the real estate agent advised me not to give up my apartment. And I too got a note from my doctor for an emotional support doggy. Thanks for another interesting video.
I had a friend who lived in Rent control apt in Santa Monica for 20 years then bought a house in Camarillo. She had similar story - stayed so long due to cheaper rents.
@@gracebryant1817 Exactly. Hard to give that up, especially if you like the place and area you're living in. And not that I want a roommate, but it blows my mind to think that I could rent out my spare room for my full rent, given what rents and shares are going for right now, and pay nothing to live here.

I think Jah must be part cat. He always seems to ignore you and unlike most dogs, he seems be pretty independent. He did show some tail-wagging excitement when you were at the last apartment.

Jordan, the year I started watching you when Jah turned 3. I'm from N.J. & moved S.C. in 2013. I watched you grow & I learn with you. People who were friends helped you do your visits to all kinds of different places. But, When you were let down by some people I was with you & let down too. The Day you looked at a house I New You would L💕ve the 🏡 & move in with Jah. I said, Thank you Father Jordan moved out of CA. Must be a little different to see this and remember all the stories/vlogs that come back to you!! It's always fun to go back to old apts/rooms we once lived, esp when we are in doubt on things going on in our lives-and it shows us how far we've actually come!! So great to see the area, never been, maybe someday, I love the old Hollywood areas, such a shame about Valentino's house, all the Old Hollywood Vlogs, are so great, love them all! Awww, the old stomping grounds ❤ growing up in LA I remember we always had traffic on the freeways, but now the streets are filled with traffic also. Good to see they cleaned up those streets. I think residents get so fed up the city gets tired of hearing them complain and then they finally do something about it. But they always move on to another neighborhood😢 we have a huge problem under the 405 freeway on Venice boulevard. So glad you started vlogging. Always good and bad memories but good to go back to see where you started to where you are now. Your videos have help us both there all the craziness in this world. We have been following you for quite some time now. You video on Shelly Winters was very interesting. It's always sad to see that her beautiful house is going to be destroyed. It seems sad that they like to take down the houses for more apartment buildings. Loved all your videos with Kat and Todd Fisher. They seem to be a super nice couple and you all have a great relationship. Love it when you visit them. We started watching you when you where in your one bedroom apt. I have been watching your vlogs for more years than I can remember but I do remember that apartment. You had it fixed up so neat with posters of old stars and it was very colorful inside. Little Jah was there and always ready for you to take him to the park. You have given me lots of entertainment and information and I sure am glad you took this on as your employment! ♥😊

Nice going back to reliive where you lived before with Jah. He is so cute, you can tell he's a tad older now, and when you ask him "did you like living here" and no response, like "look dude, am wiped out. Take me to the dog park then I'll tell you how I feel." LOL Thank you for taking us on tour. But I wish before you left, to do a blog on Mario Lanza and his short career. I think it started to tank when Louie Mayer died.

Enjoyed the vlog, Jordan. It's always fun to see your vlogs of areas I've visited or lived. Jah definitely remembered his Valley home. A lot of dogs might not have recalled walking up the steps previously, but precious Jah is extraordinarily smart besides being adorable. He acted like he was reliving memories.
In the late 60s to mid-70s I rented three different North Hollywood apartments. In those days you could get a 2-bedroom, 1 bath for less than $200. A person could live comfortably on a take-home pay of $1,500. Gone are the days!

You're videos on early Hollywood stars and locations are still some of my favorite, i still remember when you had the rear quarter side glass broken on your car !..
It's been a wonderful journey following you Jordan.
I loved that shoe box apt. Looked cozy. So many memories was made there. TY for taking us back there. The last apt wasn’t as cozy looking.
