    Thank you so much, this really helped me learn to hold my budgie properly. Much less stressful for both of us!

    Dear Tony Gestier: Good morning, I had Suezy-q about three months. I brought her to be a companion for Dos-chico my other male canary I had for also three months. Suezy-q was so delightful for my Dos-chico and the slight of them together was wonderful. Suezy-q could not make it through the night and she wasn't moving this morning. I have some pictures and video of the birds together and by themselves. On facebook people would hit the like button. Thank-you for corresponding me back. Good day to you and your birds. chris alexander,"Da--Bronx."

    My bad on previous vid comment! (I said it'd b nice to actually demonstrate how on a bird), but here it is! Sorry I hadn't noticed this, & well done! This is what bird owners need to know!

    thank you for doing this. a lot of people have sick birds that won't eat or drink and this is a great video because birds can die quickly without food/water.

    I’d love to see an updated, clearer version of this. I just got a baby lovebird and while syringe feeding is fine, I’d feel more comfortable crop feeding.

    Hello! This 2 part video was FANTASTIC! I am wondering if it would be possible to redo them 11 years later in high definition? This was so instructional but sadly blurry. It was however the very best set of instructions on the subject I have found so far! Thank you for that!

    The needle is a straight irrigation cannula and is used in dentistry for anyone who is still wondering.

    Can anyone here inform me on where to buy a "crop needle" in the US QUICKLY, or at least what they are commonly called in American English? I have a very sick chicken here. I need to have it over-nighted. All my research on Crop needles yields Australian results, excellent country that it is...

    Hi, I am using vetafarm neocare hand rearing fomula to feed my baby budgie, I followed all the instruction on the back package. But my budgie is only 2 grams on 6th day. Is this normal?

    • @vetafarm
      @vetafarm  3 роки тому

      Hi there, thank you for your message. I am hoping to get some more information from you to help answer your question :)
      - Is your chick 6 days old, or are you on your 6th day of feeding?
      - Does it weigh 2grams in total, or has it only put on 2grams since you have been feeding?
      - How are you mixing your Neocare?

    Where is the Conure on the chart? Cause I don’t see it. I need to know how to do this with a month old sun conure, this video helps only slightly :/ sorry, need more specifics.

    • @vetafarm
      @vetafarm  7 років тому

      Hi Riley, thank you for your feedback! Sun Conure's anatomy is the same as the anatomy of the bird used in this demonstration, so you can crop needle your bird in exactly the same way.

    No chance in holding my cockatiels like that. They're like rats on crack and I've got the hands of a child. Gotta wrap that Shoko up in a towel and make a Shoko burrito that is safe to handle lmao

    I have a sick pigeon, prob anorexic, shall I try to cropfeed?

    • @vetafarm
      @vetafarm  7 років тому

      Hi, crop feeding pigeons is quite straightforward and may help your pigeon, so yes you can try crop feeding. I would also suggest trying to work out what has caused your pigeon to stop eating. I would recommend taking it to a veterinarian if it is sick.

    Dear Tony gestier hello, my canary is in bad shape . My suezy--q is dying. the veterinarian (avian)will not euthanize my bird. My bird has internal bleeding, the left leg is being pulled out away for the body. The other leg is damage. The bird has breathing problems and the bird had it's lower right wing clipped (by the pet shop) that causes the bird to bleed out. in addition, the bird has been attack by the other birds in the pet shop during the lock down. @ nine months the bird was small and under fed and the bird was scared up. The bird has great fear problems. The bird with me has grown in the three months with me but also bleed twice. The bird was very afraid and since with me claim down some. I'v been giving the bird medicine the doctor has give me but I see the bird's left leg growing out more apart from the body. My suezy--q is suffering and I don't know about the leg. What can I do? Thank-you and have a good day.

      Hi Chris, how long have you had Suezy-Q? It sounds like the bird needs a consultation with another vet. What has the avian veterinarian recommended?

    As much as this is informative... please stop throwing the bird around. Talk with your voice. Not with your hands... imagine you being thrown around like that!

    OMG crop needle, hope using only in case of sickness. Hope it will be (not only ) in Europe it will be soon prohibited by the Animal Protection Act. Please do not. Everyone who uses it should put the probe into his stomach 5 times a day...... I think when you like the bird, you can not have everything only EASY - but the best for the bird !!!!
