I went looking for your cover of this yesterday and was surprised it didn’t exist... and now you’ve just released it. You come through with the goods again! Good shit. The whole second half of the song from 2:18 onwards is one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever listened to, makes my ears way too happy.

Dude these videos are amazing, the fact that you have such a good ear for these songs and then you just GIFT us with the tabs, it’s awesome. I honestly would like to know your process, just listen a lot of times and figure it out? Or do you isolate the guitar parts in the audio somehow?

@@pokefanover900000000 I put Seymour Duncans in mine. A JB Bridge and a 59 neck. I love Seymours but it's definitely a personal preference with pickup sound.

3. What’s the purpose of the foam at the end of the strings and where did I get some? Thanks so much in advance keep rocking!
Hey! Ok...
1. They're Seymour Duncans in the guitar, a JB Bridge and a 59 Neck.
2. That particular guitar had Elixir 10-46 strings, although I use different gauges on different guitars for different tunings. Always Elixir though.
3. The foam is to stop unwanted high ringing from the strings above the nut, which can get annoying when recording. Any foam will do, cut a chunk off a sponge and itll work fine.

If you did a dual cover of ERRA - The Hypnotist... I don't know how much I could love your covers more, but it would be so cool. Especially the pick sweep around 4:15, most covers I've seen people skip over that but it's one of the coolest parts of the song to me.
Since DGD has been one of my favourite bands for 10 years now, I'm loving all these covers too.

Thanks! I'm indifferent to it to be honest, you can certainly pick out the guitars better in the instrumental version but I had no real aversion to the original one!

I love you dude, your covers are amazing and I fully appreciate when you upload the tab. However, could you work on time signatures a bit more? The start of this song often goes between 5/4 and 4/4 yet you've written it all out in 3/4.
Don't mean to sound ungrateful, it'd just be a big help.
It all works in 3/4, I'm a massive fan of working with time signatures and rhythm in general so I definitely spend time working on them in detail. I was debating whether to go for one full measure of 9/4. Either way it's either 3 bars of 3/4 or 7/4 + 2/4. But the phrasing of the guitars definitely doesn't lend itself to 5/4 + 4/4. The first phrase could be taken as 6 beats, then the pause could either be lumped in with that to make it 7 or added into the next riff to make it a following 3 beats. And if you lump it in with the following twiddly riff then there's no point in having a bar of 6/4 followed by a bar of 3/4, because you can just have 3 bars of 3/4 and the timing is exactly the same. No offense taken by your comment, just wanted to explain my reasoning 🙂 I don't take take time signature lightly or overlook them, dude 👍

I like the faces he pulls because it shows how much he’s into the songs he’s playing. He’s loving it and you can tell (IMO, maybe I’m wrong). Some of DGDs songs make my ears extremely happy and I’d definitely pull faces if I was able to play guitar at this level!
