Going out in the semis isn't something to be ashamed of. I'm fairly annoyed by all of the comments criticizing hooxi for the 11-12 push. The difference between championship winning teams and those who crumble is the confidence to still be active and make plays in high pressure situations. They don't always work out, and hindsight is 20/20. Playing "not to lose" vs playing to win is the downfall of a lot of upper level teams. It's a shame it didn't work out, but I respect the call nonetheless.
You can't blame the entire match on that single play, they had PLENTY of other opportunities to put themselves in a better situation.
Exactly this. People who criticize him for it doesn't know this is how g2 plays and how they won very crucial rounds. Remember Mouz yesterday on inferno. G2 economy was close to shambles and Hooxi decides to push the smoke and got 2 killed and effectively ended the game.
Had he not done that there was a very good chance mouz would comeback after breaking g2 economy. Also in Anbis, the strings of G2 wins were from active calls taking these flash peaks to gain map control.
Same situation here. It was unfortunate that the timing was off and hooxi was spotted before monesy flash could arrive on time. But when you are under pressure and on a 5 streak comeback its best to beat the iron when its still hot.
I have to say G2 calling and protocols aren't the issue this time around. It seems that yesterday no one believed g2 would win so g2 played lights out and today everyone expected g2 to win and the pressure got into their head.

@@mariushager9983 Yup. I think the problem there was the smoke they threw first. Ofc it's meant to block line of sight of the door, but it let Navi know that a push was coming, so they were holding it and not just holding but swinging it. I know the protocol is to make them look at long and then let them see the sun, but in that scenario, monesy should not have thrown the smoke, just throw flash and rotate cave. Instead he got stuck and yeah.. Ofc nit picking at the end but yeah.
WELL DONT push with 2 ppl without flash 5 ppl must be waiting if 30 sec are remaining

When it was 12:11, I felt like G2 kinda fumbled it.

Losing 13-11 and 2-1 against a team you've lost to before, on a semifinals isn't something to be ashamed of, very impressing.

@@ElMancoDelSiglo but making bad call in last round is thing to be ashamed and not being able to do calls in middle of the rounds. With better igl:ing g2 would have 2-0 this series, but impossible when the most important calling moments are missing

They should beat this weak Navi, G2 is just brainless in critical rounds. So many clutches lost on Anubis, thanks to Niko and Hunter. Felt bad for monesy.

Yes, they had rly good rounds when the round went like they wanted from the beginning, but if it didn't.... And don't say it was bcs of hooxi for almost getting to the final, it was 110% bcs of monesy carrying in every map. Don't you find it weird how their igl is always the first one going in when they rush in ct but when they go to uncleared site they put monesy to go first die to awp? Why not put him or under performing player first and let monesy trade? Not that hard tact

@@sasku9044 ? wdym. There were a lot of rounds that hooxi jumps in first. Or takes bomb from monesy and plants. If he is going first it is to take dry duel with awp. There was even a round where hooxi was 20 hp and was dropped awp, and he STILL went in first with glock, jumping around for his team

It was a really good run. Fast progression on RMR, a bumpy way to play-offs, but you've made it so far. You showed good form, improvements both individually and as a team. In match vs. NAVI, it was a close call, and all the maps could go both ways. My heart goes out to HooXi and the whole team, you are so strong mentally ❤ Leave the bad stuff behind you, and take everything good on future events!

something needs to be done about niko's form, he didn't have the impact he's supposed to have and it impacts the team a lot with only monesy performing to standards

Agreed. You could see noticeably how much worse his aim was on average on last map ancient especially. plenty of chances where he'd normally get the opening, or even land the shots when adjusting

Hunter is the fking problem in the 1st map. Cant win 1v1 post plant even aleksib fake and prefire shoot but he just want ego peek. After that in the OT he missed the smoke in b site cost them 1 more round.

Swapping Nexa with JKS is a downgrade no matter how you put it, if you deny it at all then you definitely need to watch more demos. Statistically worse, mechanically worse, worse anchor, I see him sticking out in angles all the time so he gets farmed, he can’t spray and this is something that is controversial but game sense is worse as well.

It's weird how ppl saying it was amazing performance etc after so many lost rounds bcs lack of leading. Yes, hard to win maps when there are 2-3 guy missing per map only monesy being consistent. But why hooxi can't react in middle of rounds? Like the 4th round in ancient 2 vs 3 against eco, guys just standing without moving and not calling what teammate should watch meanwhile holding short/tunnel full open to ramp. Or not even seeing the bomb or hearing enough players to make full stack B call and lose 3vs4 for that. Like wtf is this leading. Yes, there was rly good rounds where things went like g2 wanted from start of the rounds but in middle of the rounds...

Its the same old story this is a team of 2 superstars 1 whos m0nesy a kid whos always improving, he was nothing but carrying the whole tournament. The other one is niko who is starting to become inconsistent, then the other 3 are way more inconsistent than the worst niko, if 2 of the 5 dont have an impossible round to save the day this team is simply doomed. Best teams in the world have more than 2 players being consistent, or atleast 3 or 4 very solid players... not hating on the guy but nexa is not a player to be arround someone the caliber of niko and m0nesy. just my cup of tea.

You misunderstood. What Taz said at 2:15 onwards is that G2 presented a better form of themselves compared to their form in their previous matches vs Navi, then he also clarified that G2 was **not better** than Navi because G2 lost.
