The thing is they have a lower gear ratio. A d electrostars have a much higher gear ratio. Despite being limited to 110mph. Somewhere near 115 mph. So that plays a part. Class 345s probably wouldn't make it much over 100mph.
@Solomon_C I just wish the bombadier motors weren't so BLAND lmao or at least wish they were consistantly audiable at speed i.e hearing them until max speed like electrostars or 745s etc. I need to get 745 acceleration with the motors in the background Also the motors on the 345s are strange...I mean I think they have two types of motor. They sound different in some carriages. My theory a mixture of high speed and high speed torque motors. Idk. The motor carriage i was in had motors that didn't sound like the 720s. The 720s start to scream at High pitch at like 30 to 40mph. The carriage I sat in on the 345, they reached the high pitch scream at around 60mph just a very small detail over noticed. But they are so quiet that it's hard to notice.

This could beat the electrostar but it only goes up to 90 mph

@@gapthemind--mindthegap8524 115mph between Southhall to E0 broadway(Heathrow express)
I thought it only went up to 60-70mph on the slow line
That's the Essex route. This is west London/England , great Western mainline. You can hit 90mph on slow lines.
3:30 it got 33-34 seconds to 60 and 67 seconds to 88-90 mph. It is very fast, isn't it?
Extremely fast. Not to mention it has motors on most carriages to help propel it.
