- Behind the scenes footage from The Karate Kid!
Nothing beats the original and I put this together as a tribute.
The snippets are found in the source material described below, but they were in between here and there and in no particular order. I did my best to put them together the way I found most suitable and entertaining. And yes, a little glitch at the end, my software did that but I couldn't fix it, I'm sorry... Edited with a lot of love! Anyways, I hope you enjoy!

RUN FOR IT MARTY!!!!!
Quote from 1985’s Back to the Future.
I was 8 years old when this movie came out. Bring's back good memories when I was a kid. I remember how life was a bit more simple back then. No smartphone's, social media, or texting. Kid's actually rode bikes and played outside. Something I rarely see these days. Time's have changed.
Man I wish I was born in the 80s my Parents told me a lot of awesome stories about their childhood! I can’t believe kids today like me act so bad and play video games all day. It’s like a blessing to be born in that time
It truly was, my friend. Where you played outside with your friends all day until the street lights came on. And our drink of choice was the garden hose!
@@Seikan3408 so true!! I read your comment and literally went back to my childhood.
If you were born in the 80s, then you'd be a 90s kid and teen. You won't remember much of the 80s except for the cartoons
no no it is not like that there are very few
there are many children who play nowadays but they also do other activities not only that in the 80's that in the 80's just teach him to play but that he comes out not to say it's not only in the 80's that he could have been happy in this generation is not so bad as they believe there are many who are happy
Miss this Era.
I was a costume distributor for RCA Studios back in 83 and 84 and a lot of people don't know is we reuse a lot of the masks from Halloween 3 season of the witch. I know there is one extra who is wearing it at the dance hall before Daniel gets beat up add Miyagi save some
If I could barrow the time machine from Doc and Marty I would go back in time straight to the 80's! I grew up in the 80's and early 90's and there was no better time in life to be alive. I remember when this movie first hit the movies in 1984 and we went to Bragg Cinemas to see it. It was $2.50 to see the movie, and a large popcorn and a large coke was $1.50. You go see a movie now days better expect to spend about $25 for the movie and popcorn. Man I miss those days.
this generation is not as bad as you think you want to escape from it is good no matter what bad things it has
aww that sounds so nice

@@nicoladragon666 I *have* a feeling Johnny Lawrence was the first Blonde Villain in the 80’s,is that true?.
I love the 80's. It was some of the best times of my life and I feel bad for these kids today that never had any privacy. Real privacy has been taken and now everything and everyone is being tracked and marketed just like a number and not a person. I'm so blessed to have lived my childhood within the 80's. It was and will always be the best! When playing outside was law. Not inside watching TV. Before crime started sky rocketing. Most of the times doors unlocked. You could hang out any time without your parents really worrying and no phone's in everyone's hand. We survived and we actually had conversations face to face when meeting people. Not just a message. Oh, the days.
Don't make me cry now. Those were the days of no worries...
Don’t judge but sometimes I cry a bit cuz I would LOVE to be born in the 80s. Or 70s like IT WAS SO MUCH BETTER THAN
midsummeredits80 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Sarah Litzenberger it's OK. I don't judge like that. 😚 I understand. I remember when phone's come out and I was like oh boy, our life will revolve around these things jokingly but it turned out I was right. Children these days will never understand what real privacy is and what it means that's why they don't care if they have it and that's a huge deal. You'll hear people say well it shouldn't matter if you're not doing anything wrong but that's not true. Look at all these children being harassed non stop online. That's horrible. Life if all ready hard enough now you're being bullied online. Not to mention the music was so great and the concert were awesome but I digress. I'm truly lucky that all my mistakes are not shared online. Hopefully, people can change and get back to communication instead of becoming isolated at home. Sending you love in a dark world. Be the change you want in this world. People know don't text me unless it's important. You better be coming to see me. 😭
I agree with mostly what you said except "before crime started skyrocketing" crime was actually at its highest peak in the 80's and started going down in the 90's and continued to go down into the 2000's
Nothing beats the 80's. This is what the world was like before smart phones and wi fi ruined human kind.
It was the last "unique" decade. You hear a song or see a movie and it's all "oh that's the 80s", even if you don't know it well. Last 20 years has been a boiling pot of crap.
Some of the most iconic figures wouldn’t exsist for this so called phones old man, take that in.
I wish I was brown in the 80’s, I was born in 2009
@@theyenvylamar your.. 11, thats tuff.
Your talking about it being bad but your using technology to comment on this video 🤦♂️
Man, you really gotta give these people credit for all this. That's the writers, directors, actors, photographers, choreographers, etc. It's obviously a lot more difficult for people to come together and pull off a production like this than us common folks could even imagine. Thank you all, living and dead, that put in all the work and time to give us this great movie and legacy.
I know everything about this movie is spot on! It's my all time favourite movie and always will be and I wasn't even born in the 80s I'm a kid from the 2000s I shouldn't even know what this film is hahaha

Love to see this and thinking that they were all shooting this film not knowing that this was going to be a generational culture icon.
I miss Elizabeth Shue. She was SO pretty in this movie.
She'll be in the show for sure.

Greatest decade ever. Period.
they should have kept that scene when Dutch went after Daniel!
gothatway09 it wasn’t illegal, they counted it
I agree, "you're dead meat" one kick to the eye didn't do that line justice, Dutch going after Daniel with the kick to the eye both in the movie would have gave the line justice and truth. They should've kept it in, I agree.
In the original script Dutch attacked Daniel and was disqualified. they later changed the scene.

I love this. I used to have such a crush on Daniel when I was growing up...but since Cobra Kai...it's all about Johnny for me now. Even looking back at the original now all I see is Johnny 😍😍
It still is Daniel for me. Well, Macchio. Zabka has aged amazingly well though. I find him way more attractive now than back then. Both are great, love their camaraderie.
I think they're both beautiful. Haha I couldn't stand Johnny's character when I use to watch it as a kid.
I'm sorry but in kk1, on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the highest. Even if we give Johnny a 9, Larusso's ethereal elven beauty was an 18! He was that beautiful to behold!

I was a kid during the 80’s and was probably the last generation to get to spend most of our childhood not being consumed by the Internet. There was definitely more outside time before the technology boom during the 90’s.

I'm an 80's kid, and it was a great era to grow up in. Being a 90's teen was great too. I'm glad that this movie is reaching all generations!
I was born in 1977, so I was a kid in 1980s (aged between 3 to 12). During the 1990s, became a teenager. But I prefer, the innocent days of the 1980s.
You gotta admit 80s karate kid is better then the 2010 one

A true classic and great behind the scenes clips. I was 11 when this came out in '84 and it inspired me to join a karate school, it was that influential.
I don't remember this song being featured in the movie. But now every time I hear it I'll associate it with this movie. Liked this movie as a kid. I never realized just how adorable Ralph Macchio was and or is.

before there was Angry Cat; there was Cobra Kai
Interesting how in the "Best" montage, we don't get to see all the damage Daniel took in this tournament. Looks like Cobra Kai really went out to get him hard and he took some hard shots. Adds more to the story I think and should have been left in to show, Yes he was getting beaten, but it also shows how much harder he had to work.
