I am usually a bit bias towards the guys in feeling like the girls are a bit stringent towards them. However in this case I was surprised she said yes so many times given how kind of immature he seems.
Maybe the best FDNZ couple ever?!? Loved how they were so open to each other, and even if he was not her usual type, they made each other laugh!! I think 10 dates and counting makes them bf/gf, lol!!
I agree. Humor is a great tool when used sparingly. Not every moment is an opportunity for a joke. I love using humor on dates, it should be fun, but I pick my moments and let them flow naturally.
I quite liked him. He reminds me so much of my husband. My husband is a carnivore, and so am I. My husband was raised on a ranch. I feel like my only way of getting vegetables in is in a sandwich, smoothie, or juice. Our being carnivores is pretty well a result of our upbringing.
I understand that part but for me and many others fruits vegetables are not designed for our bodies and ingesting a bit of it can cause horrible problems, I loved fruits and vegetables but genetically speaking my body just disagrees
The "carnivore": awkward and jokey and immature. He's funny - in his own mind. About her being a vegetarian, he said both "I can understand that, then "I can see how it could be a problem." Huh? Not a word complimenting her at all. She was great.
I felt they were more or less "sparring" first time out, to get a feel for each other. Something must have clicked, since we're told they've had 9 more dates so far.
Sparring is a good observation, and actually an important part of chemistry and respecting each other at a similar level. Neither of them were overly judgmental and both could laugh and appreciate the comedic elements in every day life. A good match. Strange to think he was single for so long, he's funny, but maybe too quirky for most and not career focused..
He reminds me of Jim Carey. I thought he was definitely punching above his weight with her! She was lovely, he is far less "evolved" than her - like someone else says in the comments - he is American (sorry about that).
First, the guy needs to back off on the alcohol. Looking, acting drunk and tipsy on your first date is not the way to present yourself as a gentleman. Next, there's nothing wrong with being a carnivore. But he needs to understand dating someone who is a vegetarian or vegan can be a real problem. It's better to date someone with similar lifestyle and diet. Lastly, she delivered the infamous line, "I am not looking for an ordinary guy." But of course she's not. Like I have said before, women are always looking for a winner, the prize. Thus men are the prize in the relationship. So gents, better yourselves if you want a lady in this ever growing, exponentially hypergamous world.
he was acting a bit rude and cocky with the waitress and also the way he pushed his chair out when he stood up. she was spot on in her assessment of him though in that she needed to see him act like himself and not be so flashy to get a better sense of him.
The irony of him calling himself a carnivore and then complaining his meat isnt cooked enough 😂 ultimate predator
This is the most sparkling couple ever on First Dates New Zealand!👍
Probably because the duder is American.
@@aron.gortman You are right, you are very smart! 👍
@@giannishen Self deprecating humour is lost on Australians and kiwis.
So many differences but they have one of the most important things going on, sense of humor and laughter. Best of luck to them. 😄

They are definitely stringent towards the guy. I thought the same when she said yes. Maybe she's doing it to save face. Who knows
@@sigma8995didn’t you see it said that they have gone out 9 more times.
She’s beautiful, educated and sophisticated. She’s way out of his league. I can’t believe it worked out.

Nine more dates! In terms of First Dates NZ they are like, basically married! Congrats to them.
They are perfect together. Update please?
they are so opposite, yet so open to having a good time. great date!
Too goofy, calm down on the jks

This is the first First Dates NZ in a very long time where I have high hopes that love will flourish . . .
Nine is a lot of after dates! 👍
Great banter!
She could do better.
I enjoy salad with meat or fish. For me being with a vegetarian would be too difficult
I haven't seen so many teeth since Freddy Mercury.
He’s the vegan version of carnivore!! 😂😂

Can I take you to your table
No! 😂😂😂
Wow, what a cute couple. Great show FDNZ
Well, if opposites attract... this is the pair for that. Good luck to you both.
I couldn’t date anyone who can’t even eat a salad in 29 years….🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
Not everyone does well on vegetables
@@admar6934 I’m not saying he has to survive on salad, just be mature enough to try it once in a while

Total, total over-reaction from her that he only ate salad at 29. Who cares? When money's tight, often kids are mal-nourished.
First five minutes of this guy id be gone running away 😮
Adorable! Open and willing to discover each other,,evolution

Why would he compliment her? For being a vegetarian?

Wait what makes you think he’s not career focused?
Doesn’t he coach tennis?
I like him my cup of tea
Evolution 🤦♂️
If he weren’t tall and looked like that, there wouldn’t have been a second date

In what universe is a kiwi more evolved than an American?
I'm sorry what? vegetarian happy to try bacon for a guy? ..

I feel bad for her. He needs to do some growing up.
Funny how the women who want someone who makes them laugh, can’t do the same in return?

Why be sorry? It's been working for her.

He is so annoying. Heck no!
Not a match.....
Humans are neither carnivorous or herbivores .They are omnivores so both as their bodies are built that way. Why not just accept the fact!?
“ salad” as a meal is actually a western concept….many cultures don’t eat salad and there is nothing unhealthy or weird about that

There is no doubt in my mind that this guy has Irish blood- the biggest Irish head I’ve ever seen on an American
😑my eyes are following his teeth... They're huge
