- She sang "My Cherie Amour" and killed it! We sang along. Everyone was there, all ages, all ethnicities and we all sang along. It was a moment that Stevie Wonder put into motion 40 years ago and Nai channeled it. Bless them both. :)
I come back to this every so often. I just wish it was recorded without the cackling in the background.
One of the best vids on youtube 🙌
Mannnn...it's not even just her voice I can hear her spirit coming from her hands and mouth. Nai Palm just lets music flow and that's what people feel. That's what performance is about.
Nam just _gets_ the music. It's a joy to watch her perform classics.
Damn I was getting a Lil Amy wine house vibes with this... like wtf. Obviously to the sensitive people, she doesn't sing like her but watch them old 2003 videos were she's singing in night clubs. Very similar style with this one
Stevie and Nai in a studio, that needs to happen.
I'm 58, and this is also my favorite song of all time. Her rendition would make Stevie so proud!
i watch this on a daily basis
sAme omg
I've got so much love for Nai Palm.... So beautifully honest she is; in person or artistry. I'm not ready to loose you Nai....

I like this version; however, I can do without the cackling in the background.

Amaaazing

that energy !
Swooooon
Sorry, but I 've heard better renditions. Painful actually
But it's the soul. Just like AMY Winehouse, you are listening to as if you were reading a verse from the bible. What she is doing is her religion and her sanctuary, and Im sure that you HAVE heard better. But you can't call it painful because her music is an energy spiral or vortex that is affecting others for better and not worse. If you have a negative comment or energy, please keep it to yourself cause I don't see you bringing positive into the world like this artist. You should probably just work on your self esteem, Im mean you are taking YOUR time to write a negative comment, and put that out in the universe. You should be ashamed of yourself. Unless you are doing the same, and bringing the same positive energy to world like Nai Palm, get a life. I never write comments on any website, but first time for everything. LAY OFF THE HATERAID
+Auriol Hays Painful? Are u for real?
Yes, Jason.
Maybe not perfect in the American Idol/jazz wanker sense, but beyond perfect in the soul/funk sense. I haven't heard anything as beautiful as 3:08 - 3:25 since Amy Winehouse (also listen to the guitar at 3:18 - 3:22) / This was the second song in her first show in the US/New York. It is a genuine 'a star is born' moment. Tawk Tomahawk/Nakamarra had been out since April. Most people in the audience probably did not know what to expect. She is nervous, unsure how the audience will respond / ...so yes, this may look kinda awkward/painful when you watch it for the first time, but that is what makes this clip so beautiful and addictive; when do you ever see a performer caught off guard by the audience' response? And then quickly recover to bring everybody along in a magical moment.
