Yo.. You sort of contradicted yourself. First off, whoever said white rappers are the best, I'd like to know why you made that statement. Your ability isn't defined by your skin. Practically anyone has potential to be the "best" rapper. In my opinion though, white rappers tend to be more technical rappers. I honestly haven't heard many black rappers who, after spitting a verse, make me say like "holy crap, what the hell happened?" Both sides have their pros/cons, but the best is just your taste.
Am I the only one here who thinks that it's extremely ignorant to say the best rappers are white? I mean, cmon, you have biggie, big l, a tribe called quest, rakim, nas, tupac, and countless other legends from the 90's not to mention that nowadays we have kendrick lamar and j cole tearing it up. i've listened just about every hip hop artist wether they be mainstream or underground. I have a select favorite, and i can tell you from being an english major that no one is near the way he uses metaphors, word play, and multi syllable rhyme schemes. Listen to Who Knew, he rhymes 8 syllables in one verse. I love Cudi to listen to, but as far as being gifted with language and writing ability, Cudi has never done any of those things. He's a rapper, not a lyricist
Don't get me wrong, Eminem is fucking spectacular, but what you have to understand is that he's just the surface when it comes to hip hop. Yeah his lyrics are deep, that's not what I'm disputing. I'm not going to assume how much hip hop you've listened to, but I'm sure when you come across real shit like cudi and mos def, you'll entirely rethink your inflated opinion of Eminem. Eminem isn't the be all and end all of rap/hip hop. Like I said, don't get me wrong Eminem is dope.
idgaf how many dislikes this gets, because it's true. I'm an extremely big Eminem fan, and i truly believe he is the best there ever was and will be, either forever or for an extremely long time. However, not all, but most of his freestyles are written. Wheras very few of Webby's have written material. Eminem is unquestionably the greatest lyricist to ever live, but Webby is absolutely the greatest freestyle on the planet. That's my word.

Big and Pac were DEFINITELY not the best lol. Only reason people say that is because they're both dead. Em is better than both, and almost every underground artist is on the same level as pac and biggie. (Sadistik, Knowmads, Macklemore, Blue Scholars, Eyedea, Atmosphere ect...)

I love Mac and Chris but for totally different reasons. Mac has a super smooth flow and its chill to smoke and listen to (same with Chris) but, to me, Chris has a broader vocabulary and his freestyles are dope as fuck. But no hate, I love both their music, its all I listen to haha

@M4F1990 no lil waynes songs are not freestyles. However, when he actually records the lyrics, he doesnt read of anything, becasue it sounds more 'real' and from the heart. So even though he isnt reading off of anything when he raps, its still not a freestyle

@KulikProductions Khalifa hasn't been good for like 6 months. Rolling Papers was HORRIBLE, Cabin Fever was average at best... I loved wiz but he sold out for sure.
