    After working with FL Studio over 10 years I have some comparision with other DAWs and there is a lot of things on which I spend too much time, because sometimes getting expected results take more time and they're tricky.
    I'm techno and I'm just wondering about switching from FL Studio to Ableton, but after seeing that video I'm schocked about these possibilities and ways, how can to do many sounds with their sequences very fast and easy. I'm gonna take Bitwig demo for testing now. You're doing great job. Big ups for that.
    Just watched your other videos and tutorials of other people and your work will helped me the most. Thank you!

    26:50 if i understand correctly your intention, you should add that reverb to a layer effect or add a tool effect to pre-fx of reverb and then map the incoming volume - then you are feeding the reverb with a sound and let it decay. in your setting you kill the reverb (setting its mix to 0) after the release envelope ends. but despite that, its pretty nice idea

    wow, that instrument selector is a dream came true, no hassle with switcher in eurorack, I imagine how I can use it with hw insrument device and er and internal bitwig sounds, amazing! It is super strange I made a comment maybe a week ago about similar round robin patch I use in eurorack and now it is in bitwig as a stock possibility:) mega great!

Did you setup a lot of custom shortcuts or are you using the default set? Happy music (and video) making! And as always, thanks for posting these videos. Now if they implemented the ability to sync the new loop feature on the envelopes in the polygrid, that would be amazing. But instead of a more fixed approach it would be cool if you could snap in and out of them for some interesting interchangeable polyrhythm automations that could be synchronized by beat and milliseconds simultaneously with the bpm of your session 🧐

    Awesome... !! Though the poly on AHD release is not a bug... it is because the reverb or anything in the FX box of the polysynth is not polyphonic

      true, i thought it should manage at least one voice in some way, but as you can see the settings on the modulator do nothing in poly mode

    can we automate the index of the note selector also, like in bitwig 3.1 (and older versions)?
    Looks like its the "program change" - option...

      @@PolarityMusic Actually.... Before you duplicated, it seemed that you created an event at 1.1 and it automatically made another at 2.1 and 3.1 & when you moved notes in the first bar, the second bar followed along.

    I just realized, when you talked about choking reverb, there’s an option that is currently in bitwig, that allows the drum machine to create choke groups.
    Could you do a tutorial on that as well?

    • @PolarityMusic
      @PolarityMusic  4 роки тому +1

      I can try :)

    • @soundcore183
      @soundcore183 4 роки тому

      Very simple just choose a drum pad on the drummachine which should cut another which is playing ( for example an open hat cuts the closed hihat or the kick cuts the open hihat on the offbeat in a house pattern) similar solutions would be using a gate or sidechain compression where you got more control over attack and release and the response of the sidechain, using a lowpass filter. Becomes just a bit difficult if you want to sidechain by a certain frequency range but it is possible with a bandpass, too. Sometimes you want that contrast, separation or width of the whole mix and the quickest solution would be using dynamic eq like from fab filter, selecting the top part of the spectrum which you want to boost, in a 6 db range, switch the eq node to dynamic and from the stereo to side. That new adsr on release thing is another mod to a controlled aftertouch control like you would press a sustain pedal blending in reverb, chorus or a rhytmic gate pattern kind of. What is amazing i find is per note shuffle with note delay and randomness. Just missing kind of probability which decides if the current note will be played or not.

    • @NeonPLotus

      Polarity Music thank you. I really wish bitwig would make a drum machine that folds out into the arranger, like logic and studio one, putting each drum on a separate track.
      I suggested this the moment they got multiouts and group tracks, but they’ve resisted.
      The benefits of that are obvious.
      Maybe you can get them to do it?

      @@PolarityMusic i already have the demo on my windows and linux machine. i'm not sure if it's placebo, but does the audio engine sound "better"? Have the impression that there is more clarity. right now i'm confused because of the arranger and clip view. I just added fm4 and added a simple melody on arranger view, some kick, snare. And then i went to clip view, made, played some clips. after that i was not able to start playing on the arranger view again. This was confusing.
