My mom used to make this for family gatherings all the time, she passed away about a year ago and never gave me the recipe so I really hope this one tastes simular to hers haha
There is also a video from pillsbury that is called Easy veggie crescent pizza and it uses dill weed and sour cream with the cream cheese instead of the ranch and That is a great one too so I would try that one as well! There is a video on you tube for that one as well. 😄
Thanks for your question sahlioa. We wouldn't recommend this because the top of the crust might be under-baked. You could certainly reduce the baking time of the crust if you prefer.
Hi Melissa, great question. Absolutely! Use your favorite pizza dough or pre-made crust. Enjoy!
Simplest recipe ever, and simply delicious! Thank you so much for sharing!
An American house wife served this in a family party, and I would say this is almost the top favorite food I ate in America!
Ate this at a Pampered Chef party years ago. It is good.
Same. I loved it so much I still make it all of the time. Most of the time I just use chopped red, green, yellow and orange peppers.
I have made this for years. Always a winner at parties, not to mention home.
the food looks great
I didn't think it looked so hot myself but someone had it at a party so I tasted it and it was Wonderful! The dressing in the cream cheese really makes the Veg's great. I had to search for the recipe....and here I am. :)
I've made this several times and my Dad loved it because it had cheese and bacon on it. yummy
this looks good
Look yumm
I actually really like this. Granted, the one I buy from the store has broccoli, carrots, cauliflower and cheese. No peppers and no onions (at least I don't think there's any onions). This is my way of eating my veggies if I'm not eating chili or mixed vegetables or soup.
Few years back a friend from the church always brought this whenever we have gatherings or ministries. I been dying to get the recipe she make hers double crust and top with mixed cheeses. And thats the first time I ate veggies 😂😅😍😍😍😍I would definitely try these
This was a big thing back in the 80's. Now you can get Phillsbury dough opens to fit a pie without crescent. We only topped with broccoli, onions & tons of shredded cheese
I like a veggie pizza.
Mmmm eating sum rn
So it's veggies and ranch on bread?? Lol It still looks delicious!
Can you put the toppings then bake it? Would the crust still come out good.
Thank you ❤♥❤❤
i ate this is one party of my aunt, i got curious what it is coz all fresh vegies on pizza, i tried one square and ended up just eating the pizza on the party lol… they called its COLD PIZZA
Looks good, though I'd omit the peppers, as I can't handle anything even slightly spicy.
The peppers she used are Bell peppers (Capsicum) they are not spicy at all.
Bell peppers are sweet
I double the crust.
I use a little sour cream with the hidden valley ranch packet and cream cheese to make it a bit smoother.
I add
Yellow and red bell pepper
Finely chopped broccoli (Because I dont like the taste of a big chunk of fresh broccoli.)
Cherry tomatoes
Celery
Cucumber
And shredded cheese sprinkled on top
Try cauliflower! Its such a good addition!
Did you know that Applebee's did away with their Veggie Patch Pizza? If you want the recipe, here it is:
Ingredients:
- 1 ½ cups sliced button mushrooms
- 2 tbls butter, divided
- 2-3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/3 cup minced onion
- 1 cup artichokes, chopped
- 2 - 2 ½ cups packed baby spinach, chopped
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup parmesan cheese
- 2 teas oil - veggie or canola
- 2 10” flour tortillas
- ¾ - 1 cup shredded mozzarella or Italian mix cheese
- 1 tomato, seeded and diced
Directions:
In a large sauté pan melt 1 tbl of butter. Add mushrooms and sauté over medium heat for 7-8 minutes or until mushrooms are browned. Remove from pan and set aside.
In the same pan, reduce heat to medium low and add remaining tablespoon of butter, onions and garlic. Sauté until garlic is fragrant and onions are transparent, stirring occasionally. About 8-10 minutes.
Add artichokes to pan and sauté for two minutes. Add heavy cream and bring pan to medium high temperature. Slowly stir in spinach and parmesan cheese. Stirring occasionally, allow mixture to simmer and reduce until thick. About 10-15 minutes. Taste and season with salt and pepper as needed.
Bring a large skillet to high heat. Brush each side of tortillas with oil. Place on skillet for 1-2 minutes or until tortillas are lightly browned, then flip and repeat for other side.
Place tortillas on a baking sheet and spread spinach-artichoke mixture over them leaving a ½” border. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese evenly over pizzas and top with mushrooms. Place under the broiler for a few minutes to melt and lightly brown cheese.
Remove from oven and top with diced tomatoes. Cut into wedges and serve.
This is a knock-off recipe from 'Chef's Pantry' that was demo'd at a CP home party that I attended at least 15 yrs ago. The only difference is, they used chopped cauliflower w/all above ingredients, not carrots. Personally, instead of ranch-flavored powdered mix, I use actual ranch dressing (to taste), It actually tastes amazing with just diced rainbow peppers and red &/or green onions.
Yes. That is the problem with allrecipes. People never give credit to the people who really came up with the recipes.
I think you mean "Pampered Chef."
Everything looks good up until the point where the pizza is put into the fridge for an hour before serving. Will the crust get a little soggy?
not exactly what I'd call a "pizza". but, it's...interesting!
Can you use real pizza dough
Am vegetarian
Looks like a flatbread
gross me out!~/
that is the saddest pizza
greenlizardballs
I hate eating raw veggies!!!
Hi, Alice He - How about trying this recipe with your favorite cooked veggies? You'd even create a new recipe!
Very disgusting
