this took about 3 or 4 days and i just found out theres a part 2 so if i feel like doing so ill animatic a part 2

made me realize how much better the dialogue in fo4 would have been if the characters were more expressive
Yeah it's always just blank face with slight face contortion and moving shoulders and neck a bit.
Its why i dont use the dialogue camera
It's terrible that wearing a gas mask is more expressive than wearing no headgear
An AI is more expressive than the most eccentric character in Fallout 4

In the original video Nate just came off as an asshole, but in the animation he comes off as a likable person just having fun

This is why I wear a helmet that covers the face and just imagine the facial expressions
one of the benifets of playing older fallout games, you arent forced to see your characters ugly face everytime they say something
for real though, this animation makes things so much more fun
you guys should really disable the dialogue camera in display settings

I swear Nate's VA had WAY Too much fun with the Sarcastic voice lines, these are comedy gold!
Nate's VA is one of my favorite, while yes its serious most of the time, he can be funny and some voicelines even sounds like breaking character, its just great
I swear, Nate did a lot better at the sarcastic lines than Nora.
Especially in the dlc. "It's your old pal! Shamus McFuckyourself"

have to agree, its allways the best when a VA sounds like they're having a blast. Also tbf the power of his gutteral scream when you open Nora's pod shows he's 100% got the serious acting chops for the right moment. It was haunting.

If the characters were just a little more physically expressive and weren’t limited to the static dialogue camera and off putting facial animations, Nate would be regarded much higher as a protagonist by fans.

@@MrZomBie775they should have just went all in and make Fallout 4 a spin off with Nate and Nora being defined characters, so that the game would be more like rdr2 or witcher 3 with 2 main character (nate and nora, and you could play for a while before the war and then choose wich to play after the bombs) with names and a backstory instead of half-assing the game, so that its neither a proper rpg nor a proper characterdriven game

@@tytanium654 Well.....problem with that, Shaun woulda never gotten out to thaw the player out, though ig you can make the argument that another director of the Institute had the same idea, to release the Vault Dwellers to see who'd survive, or the Enclave sent the all clear signal, unthawing the dwellers

This made me realize how much the rigid emotionless faces of the gsme drag down the stellar voice acting. Seeing with more expressive body and faces feels totally fresh and new
Things like this are one of the biggest reasons I love being a voice actor. Look at how much more emotion this artwork gives the performance than the static, boring, emotionless and robotic expressions the characters use in-game. Adds so much more to the performances done.
This means a lot to me, thank u :] The voice lines have a lot of potential, it’s a shame its limited by the medium they were used in

This was awesome, it really captures the vibe of the Sole Survivor.
You get frozen in an experiment, son kidnapped and wife murdered, your hometown has changed into a foreign land, everyone's weird and all you got is humor to keep from going insane.
Seems like a great soil for character, just use serious answer options sometimes to make sole survivor more alive and here is it
