Just an FYI Brian May from Queen, tweeted immediately after seeing the performance saying "this was hands down the most original and breathtaking version of the song he had ever heard and the band gave Angelina herself a special dispensation to the rights of her version of Bohemian Rhapsody for distribution and personal compensation. Angelina in my opinion is such a brilliant story teller in how she arranges her songs. I personally felt every one of her runs were minimalist by today's standards and very tasteful in its placement leaving the audience with this heavy malaise causing a soulful sadness feeling placing me almost on the verge of tears. She stands there barefoot of course (did anyone cue you in on that part already?) in the suit she made herself using a print with her grandmothers art and as soon as she starts singing the whole audience and jury go dead silent. She captivates and mesmerizes them and doesn't let her hold on them go until the very end. So yes this is a very special performance. You will see as you look at more of her work, that that is common theme. She is all about storytelling and conveying emotions so that you listen to the story and that you feel the story. I love your reactions, regarding Angelina being an old soul you just have to see the first performance in "Norway got talent", if you look closely, in her white dress, barefoot and with long tangled hair she is literally someone who comes from the tomb itself, I think that Angelina's bare feet is the message that it comes from there, and that death is not the end of everything.
What's so amazing about this performance by Angelina is that reactors like yourself go into it understanding everyone is telling you it's unbelievable and that fact is supported by the multi millions of views the video has received. I am not sure if you heard, Million Miles, which she wrote to her grandfather who died in 2020, and was to me, the perfect song for what we were going through in 2020. It should have been song of the year. But my favorite song is one she did at "TEN", yes ten years old, and it was a demo not a cover, the person who wrote the song did not do his version until years after she did hers, so it is not a cover. It became my favorite from the first time I heard it and I have been telling everyone I can about it. It is going to be very hard to believe that she was 10 at the time, a week before her 11th birthday to be exact. But I have yet to meet anyone that either did not restart the song less than 30 seconds in and replayed the last minute of the song right after or did not play the entire thing at least once more right after hearing it the first time. Your reaction is pretty much like everyone else's who has seen this. This is her signature song that made her quite famous and viral around the world that aired on January of 2020. This performance was so well received that even the surviving members of Queen posted on their Twitter account after watching her audition, "Wow, what a rendition!" Not bad for a 13 year old girl who arranged the song herself. She even was given the copyrights by Queen for this version of their song. How cool is that? You can tell at 13 how bad she wanted this career to begin. She never could have won, because she never could have signed with them. But clearly she wanted it bad. Just an FYI Brian May from Queen, tweeted immediately after seeing the performance saying "this was hands down the most original and breathtaking version of the song he had ever heard and the band gave Angelina herself a special dispensation to the rights of her version of Bohemian Rhapsody for distribution and personal compensation.
Angelina in my opinion is such a brilliant story teller in how she arranges her songs. I personally felt every one of her runs were minimalist by today's standards and very tasteful in its placement leaving the audience with this heavy malaise causing a soulful sadness feeling placing me almost on the verge of tears. If I could give them a name it would be "weeping runs" sad and beautiful at the same time.

She stands there barefoot of course (did anyone cue you in on that part already?) in the suit she made herself using a print with her grandmothers art and as soon as she starts singing the whole audience and jury go dead silent. She captivates and mesmerizes them and doesn't let her hold on them go until the very end. So yes this is a very special performance. You will see as you look at more of her work, that that is common theme. She is all about storytelling and conveying emotions so that you listen to the story and that you feel the story. She is fascinating!

I love your reactions, regarding Angelina being an old soul you just have to see the first performance in "Norway got talent", if you look closely, in her white dress, barefoot and with long tangled hair she is literally someone who comes from the tomb itself, I think that Angelina's bare feet is the message that it comes from there, and that death is not the end of everything.

I am not sure if you heard, Million Miles, which she wrote to her grandfather who died in 2020, and was to me, the perfect song for what we were going through in 2020. It should have been song of the year. But my favorite song is one she did at "TEN", yes ten years old, and it was a demo not a cover, the person who wrote the song did not do his version until years after she did hers, so it is not a cover. It became my favorite from the first time I heard it and I have been telling everyone I can about it. It was not released for reasons I can go into but do not really understand or agree with but, just before the man that wrote it released his version, someone (who I think did not like him very much), leaked AJ's version a month before his came out and we are all the better for it, and a fan made the lyrics video. It is going to be very hard to believe that she was 10 at the time, a week before her 11th birthday to be exact. But I have yet to meet anyone that either did not restart the song less than 30 seconds in and replayed the last minute of the song right after or did not play the entire thing at least once more right after hearing it the first time. Your reaction is pretty much like everyone else's who has seen this. This is her signature song that made her quite famous and viral around the world that aired on January of 2020. This performance was so well received that even the surviving members of Queen posted on their Twitter account after watching her audition, "Wow, what a rendition!" Not bad for a 13 year old girl who arranged the song herself. She even was given the copyrights by Queen for this version of their song. How cool is that? Angelina is one of the best singers in the world right now!
You can tell at 13 how bad she wanted this career to begin. She never could have won, because she never could have signed with them. But clearly she wanted it bad. She channelled so much beauty and perfection, a force of a performance. You can tell that while she is on board with the idea she should live as normal a childhood as she can, that she still knows deep down at this point that she is at home on a stage singing. A very large part of her must wish through all the painful stories of child stars, that she could be trusted to navigate it. This whole time she's undoubtably been wrestling with her game plan. This was her terrifying welcome to America moment, starting with a Capella. What a pillar of grace and strength. She gives the world her absolute best performing, maybe the sweetest thing about a very sweet kid.
