It looks like riot might be planning to make arena permanent. It comes back more frequently than any other mode and they are constantly improving it. Its really the only way for riot to gain goodwill from me at this point.

yeah they literally said theyre planning on doing it permenant but this time its coming for 4 whole months

Not really .
They said arena has suceeded expectations and all that. Because of that, they have been thinking if making it permanent would be a good thing. So they thought of a way to test. They will enable arena for 4 months, with regular updates( including a few content updates) to see how it withstands in a long while, since gamemodes typically last only 1 month.
Depending on how arena does( they have accounted for lower playrate when the pve mode is on as well), it could become permanent.
Personally, i hope it becomes permanent and for them to enable a "training arena custom tool" thing, just to try wacky and almost impossible things there😂

If you have that much gold as you had at the end of the first game, it's worth trying for the prismatic since you can just sell them for 2k gold and downgrade it the next round. Although it's understandable if you want to save the gold for shards/juice.

Another optimization you can do is, if you've killed someone in your first 3 rounds, you can buy an anvil with your first gold drop instead of a specific item, then you can afford to buy a prismatic after round 4, assuming you kill someone there as well.
