But this morning I’m reminding myself of the bad stuff she put me through as well and the manipulation and toxic traits she had that made me always question where I stood in the relationship. The girl learned later she was pregnant with his child.
When I was younger I always saw this from the point of view of the daughter being hurt and losing someone you love, but the older I get the more I see it from the fathers POV.
It’s a horror story, you do everything a father is expected to do to protect child and in the process you get another person’s child killed.
Now I read the lyrics more from the father perspective causing so much pain and losing the relationship with your daughter trying to shelter her from the world.
