А Михаил Петухов - ученик великой Татьяны Николаевой, 100 летие со дня рождения которой отмечается на этих днях. Удивительно, почему же они не участвуют в концерте, посвященном этому знаменательному событию? Прямые наследники и последователи её великого таланта?
Безупречно, великолепно, спасибо за доставленное наслаждение. Слушала Диму вживую три раза. Потрясение от музыки. Эмоции зашкаливают. Проплакала от восторга весь концерт. Спасибо
Thank you for this posting Musicforlife! I hadn't heard the 2nd concerto in a long time (I adored it for years but then got a bit sick of hearing it so much!) and rediscovering is like falling in love all over again! Merci!
No wonder, he won the first prize and a gold medal as well as a special award for the best performance of the concerto with chamber orchestra in the second round at the Tchaikovsky competition in 2015. I like him very much, like Nikolai Lugansky and Daniil Trifonov.
I've heard Dmitry play several times (on UA-cam) and his technique is amazing. He never faulters ever. I don't know how he can remember all the notes without reading them. I know I couldn't. Amazing
In the Rachmaninoff manner, eschewing most, if not all the pedal on those thrilling last couple of pages. Terrific. he is a BRAVE pianist. Yes, go for the gold!! More greatness to come, I'm sure.
A captivating performance by a prodigious artist. This ranks with the finest interpretations I have ever heard or seen. Musicians as elite as this should be paid more money than "rock stars," and be granted government pensions for the remainder of their lives to protect them should they fall into unforseen financial difficulties or physical calamities. May God's loving and supportive hand guide this young man's way. ( At times it seems the camera operator treated the score as written for an orchestra, with piano accompaniment, particularly when the camera pulled away from the soloist at the most unpropitious times, especially during the rousing finale!) Can the composer and title of that virtuosic encore be provided in English? Respectfully.
Masleev is so technically prodigious, and at his youthful years, he is developing great artistry. As brilliant as he is, I still prefer Daniil Trifonov's recording of this concerto. But I doubt anyone will every exceed the beauty, grace, and impassioned power of Byron Janis" playing of the Rachmaninov #2.
