a tip from an actual gyaru, if you play dti a lot and you always get gyaru theme, i ugely reccomend to study the subculture, because if you understand the true intention of each substyle and the history of the subculture you wont have to memorize anything, because you'll understand what meaning each substyle has, and what was the inspiration they originally had, and i also reccomend studying gyaru makeup tutorials so you wont make basic mistakes as using dark lipstick or ombre lips
btw kogal is not a substyle, everyone makes that mistake, kogal or kogyaru is a term that is used for gyarus that are in highschool, but a kogyaru can wear almost every substyle, so theres manba kogyarus, hime kogyarus, rokku kogyarus etc. to be a kogyaru you need to be on highschool so it means you can't be a kogyaru if you're already in college for exemple
