very sad to confirm the news about Chris Bailey dying on the weekend. Chris and I met when we were about 14 during detention at Oxley High School and became close friends which later developed into what I always thought was an extremely strong artistic partnership, I couldn't have hoped for a better singer. My deepest condolences to his wife Elisabet, his sisters Margaret, Carol and Maureen and the rest of his family and loved ones. I'll post something longer down the track but for now..
These days bad news are repeating from France... Since 40 years The Saints was a lihgthouse in our (my) lifeline. Courage To Chris family, Ed and all friends. I'm stranded...
I saw The Saints 29th October 1977 in Aberdeen, Scotland. I was 16. Had to lie about my age to get in to the gig. They blew me away. Support band was The Adverts. The Saints blew them away too. I joined my first band after seeing them. I'm 61 now and (I'm) Stranded and Eternally Yours remain classic albums for me. RIP Chris Bailey.

Yes. Just like Ron Mael from Sparks. Check out their Top of the Pops performance of “This Town Ain’t Big Enough For Both Of Us”. The only parts of him that moved were his eyeballs and fingers.
So very sad to hear of his passing. The Saints were punk rock 101 to me and his voice was often in my head. You gave us all a gift of some of the best punk rock vocals ever.
Ed Kuepper, you were a big influence on my guitar playing when I was a teenager learning the guitar back in the late 70s. I still use some of your techniques in my own stuff cos they are ingrained in my psyche. If I ever make my fortune with my music I'll pass on some of my royalties. 😉🤣🤣
The Saints, The original good wild rock, recognized for its true value unfortunately too late. The magic of their sound and the union of these talents fortunately exists beyond contracts
First heard this song on Simon Townsend’s Wonder World around in 1977 I think and it was an awakening for me to a new brilliant energetic style of music
I'm Stranded & Eternally Yours, Two Iconic Albums. They don't get the recognition they deserve. Every band I've ever been in has covered some of your songs since the late 70's. The 1st song I learned of yours was Run Down & the list grew from there. Thank you for the tunes!
Watching Return of the Saint last night, there's two clips in the Marquee, London. I had totally forgotten about the Saints. Shame on me! This is a killer track. I forgot to mention; in the Credits at the end it's - The Saints Punk Rock Group.
