I think Darvin ham wasn’t the man for the job simply because in those two Denver series the lakers were close and he failed to make adjustments and the lakers had the talent to beat Denver. But Frank Vogel didn’t deserve to be fired. Year 1 they win a ring with his defensive philosophies suffocate everyone from Dame to Harden/Russ to Denver to Miami. Year 2 Lebron and AD got hurt after starting the year 21-7 and went up 2-1 against Phoenix until AD tore his calf. He's trying to be a player-coach already, but it's prohibited on paper, hence the Blatts, the Vogels, the Hams need to be "head coaches" so whenever his own coaching strategies don't work or win him games, there's scapegoats.
I would not be surprised if JJ Reddick an obvious rookie coach gets the nod to be a head coach and it appears there's no choice as coaches that were brought up were either signed extensions (Ty Lue with the Clippers, Kidd with the Mavs) or already signed up for new positions (Budenholzer recently signed on for the Suns) So I don't know how Reddick's going to go but if they don't win games it'd be awkward for that podcast haha
