      how would you calculate a ratio with just two numbers? example. ratio strength of 200 grams of glucose are dissolved in 250 mL of solution? is this different because it does not come with the ratio number?

      @@allison9542 Thank you for the question. You will have to set up a ratio using the two number and then create a proportion by setting the ratio equal to 1 over a variable. This is because the ratio strength is always 1 is to something (1:xx). See the solution to the example question you asked here: jo.my/ptcdv0 . Hope this helps.       But in third quastion have a dout why all have a ml but some of question exmpl 1:4 if you change into friction one have a gram and another have a ml but third question it differen why

    dear sir, can you explain this question? calculate the amount of potassium permanganate required to prepare a solution from 500ml of a stock solution to yield the following dilution. 10ml of the stock solution is to be diluted to 1 liter , such that the resulting solution has a ratio strength of 1: 10,000 w/v

    - The Emulsifying Ointment BP is prepared as follows:
    Emulsifying Wax 300 g
    White Soft Paraffin 500 g
    Liquid Paraffin 200 g
    How many grams each of liquid paraffin and white soft paraffin should be added to
    250 g of the emulsifying ointment in order to prepare an ointment containing 10% of
    emulsifying wax?
