Buckle up. Eric will not be renewing his Sublime with Rome lease. And these boys have a band manager that is booking events at festivals next year. I think we will be hearing announcement soon. I know Jakob is putting alot of work into his project "Jacob's Castle".. but it looks like we will be seeing 'Sublime' as well.
@@tylerkarpik3354You’re getting way ahead of yourself. SWR will likely continue, and I don’t see Bud Gaugh committing to anything other than sporadic benefit shows.
@@TryNSave lol okay. That's why Jakob, Eric, and Bud have a new manager. Who is already booking events through 2024 in which are untitled while other artists aren't being kept a secret. And yeah SWR will continue. As Rome does cover songs with no original members since Eric will not be renewing his SWR lease for next year. Also in a recent interview with Jakob he was asked about a tour in which he said big things are coming. Also at the benefit Jakob asked "should we go on tour" *everyone cheers* "well that settles it"... yeah I don't think I'm getting that far ahead of myself
@@tylerkarpik3354 no need to get a ‘tude. They have a new manager primarily, if I read correctly, because the assets, copyrights, etc. were transferred to Jakob. The benefit show doesn’t imply anything for the future in definite terms until we hear a statement. I’m not rooting against that happening, of course, but with the way Bud Gaugh exited SWR it wouldn’t surprise me if in the next couple of months he once again echoes his previous sentiment and says, “welp, that was nice and all but it doesn’t feel right without Brad.”
And again, haven’t heard anything about EW and his aspirations with SWR, but you do know that both iterations aren’t mutually exclusive, right? He can easily continue benefit shows with Jakob and Bud and continue recording and touring with SWR down the line. Don’t jump to conclusions, please.
@@TryNSave wasn't trying to have tude lol so sorry if you take it that way. And as far as what I know it seems more like Bud left SWR because of something more deeper happening between him and Rome opposed to "well its not the same without Brad". I recall a statement being that he would always be willing to perform Sublime with Eric, but has no interest in performing with Rome anymore. So that sounds more of ego battles to me... in the end I'm not saying this is like a return of "Sublime" lead by Jakob. The kid worked hard to do his own thing not trying to just live in his dad's shadow and just being Brad's son. His newer project "Jakobs Castle" seems to be his heart and soul as it should be. They sound amazing. He has his own vibe and I know he's working to build that for himself. But from all the moving parts here it seems very likely we are gonna get some form of tour. And in the end, money talks. Them doing this performance only stimulated a whole crap ton of interest and demand. Obviously not saying fully Eric is a sell out, but the man I interested in $$ for sure. Bud expressed still playing the music minus Rome. And Jakob knows doing such a thing will then give e his own projects even more traction cause. So I don't think it's too far off to expect a announcement for atleast a limited tour next year. Espeacially how much attention it would bring to the "House of Bradley Foundation" and all the charity benefits that can be brought in. Even when I seen SWR for the 5th time last year through the merch tent they had donations for it, in which I know was pushed by Eric. I would still place money on end of winter or early spring next year we will see a announcement.
