You could think of it as like to every IC decision comes with bad and/or good consequence in RP. Instead of looking at it in a perspective of RP being denied as if NP doesn't like his RP or they're purposefully trying to fuck the RP over. Buddha himself spoke highly about Mr. K advertising and real estate business before. I'm sure a lot of people (viewers and/or players) agree with him.

Nopixel works similar to how an underdeveloped country would operate, with those countries bureaucracy they don't think ahead of it before making it public and are always incomplete.

@@asasas9146 that's the intent of having consequence in 4.0 that NP emphasized on.. electing a mayor actually has its pros and cons in the city... Depending on what the players decide to do is what they're gonna get. The government actually has a purpose in the city. If people elect a good and competent mayor, the city is up good. If it's the opposite like an incompetent and evil mayor, it's not gonna be good.

It wasn't that they were grinding too much it was that they were AFK while signed into jobs with limited spots (e.g. AFK signed into Snr Buns, doctors signed in but AFK on the roof of the hospital).

Nah most people who own houses have 1 house as a group, so the bills split among the group are a few thousand. Majority of the people in the city dont even have a house. This tax hits pretty much only the rich who own multiple houses and are grinding crypto.

@@damien7157 The 30K wasn't tax ithe 30K was consumption (i.e. their utilities bill). Tax is 3.0% of the properties' value.
There pretty much-forcing people like MR. K to become grinders to fund the RP they want to do.

That's for NORMAL servers, NoPixel has a queue of like 400+ people on average, there's a chance you might see someone once, and then not see them again for two months.

The change itself is good imo cause it gives people more incentive to rent rather than to buy due to base cost of a house and now tax which gives K a lot more power overall but they could’ve warned my boy 😂
The change is pointless it makes people have to grind more which is the opposite of the purpose of the server.
@@raz4371 I mean how they handled the change is wrong but I don’t think it’s a bad change. Grinding will always be on the server and they’ve all been grinding already. There’s a huge difference between someone K grinding and the typical monotone zero personality grinder who’s trying to min max as much as possible. Tbh all K has to do is raise the rent which now due to the change, he has a lot more leeway to do and the people paying rent are less likely to leave due to extra expenses.
As a viewer that doesn't want to invest himself to dive deep into the way every mechanic on the server works, NP is such a confusing and convoluted server.
I feel like they overcomplicate everything. I'd say keep things simple and let the RPers be creative.
Way too mechanic reliant for RP, the ones that RP and are entertaining don't need grand mechanics. They can add but are so much worse when they are scuffed and convoluted. I miss the progression in Prodigy. Lost a warehouse, cops bust you, or business gets robbed, sucks but set back not game over because you need 100k grind just to be even with the city.

I think the right word is "in depth". The vision is to make things as in depth/immersive as possible. Of course, there are things to improve every day but it doesn't help that the server is operating on very old game that make modding it buggy. Also, make consequences more punishing than 3.0 depending on the choices/decisions players make. I think people forgot 4.0 is hardcore, was designed to be hardcore (obvious with the injury system, slow economy, etc). People used to ask when the hardcore server was gonna be. I remember that Koil or Buddha said instead of releasing 4.0 and a hardcore server separately.. they decided to just combine it or something.
They should focus on nerfing goofy ahh g6 grinders who make 300k a week and provide no RP to the city instead of people like mr k
I heard they kinda nerfed it! now they're is a longer cool down between jobs and they upped the money you get if you rob the trucks! so people are going crazy robbing the trucks lol, so people aren't doing the actual job as much anymore!

why are people complaining its like 6-10k per property he has, and isn't it paid like monthly? each property can be paid off by the gang per hour, will take them a day to make the money to pay off all the properties, just rob a few laundromats :)
I understand the idea of the property taxes. It makes perfect sense in the way property is in the real world. HOWEVER, I don't like the way there is no communication that these things are coming down the pike. Everyone knew the power bills were coming. No one is really complaining about them. They should have done the same with the taxes. Let people know they are coming so they can plan their RP around it instead of being surprised by a "bill" out of the blue. The same thing happened with the sales tax. First there were NO sales tax on property. Then a bill just shows up out of the blue saying you owe x dollars. No RP behind the taxes, no discussion about what was coming and no exemptions. Even IRL, if property taxes rise of new ones are implemented, government does not go back retroactively and tax everyone after the fact. What was NOT in place at the time of purchase, should not be pushed on the owner after the deal is done. Go forward with the new taxes and let everyone know this is the way if will be from THIS POINT ON. Oh well. My two cents.
Maybe they want people to find it out naturally in RP? To keep the reaction raw. Just like how people naturally found the gun blueprint and robbery contracts IC. I remember Buddha said before, there were some things introduced in the server already, it's just that people haven't discovered them yet.
Honestly, it'd be cool if this was implemented by the new mayor so they take it out as soon as Max gets overthrown and a new Mayor gets instated.
Sadly no, Moon actually hates what's happening and he is increasing $/hour in a lot of jobs because taxes increased and whole more.

But I have a feeling this first bill will become void but left as a warning to people for the future.
However they were all told to be weary of the bills coming and people still bought multiple assets and kept increasing their power bills at the beginning of the server despite being warned that it'll cost them.
I see the issue being on both sides. Devs should have implemented Taxes from the beginning but players should have heeded the warnings and slowed down a bit.
I think it won't make a difference. Implemented now/later, people say devs don't want people to do real estate RP or acquire multiple houses (Initiating that devs deny certain RP or purposefully fucking over someone's RP). If it was implemented in the beginning, people will still say the same thing because people would have realized the tax was even more expensive since at that time, people were even poorer.
Time for Mr. K to raise rent
I want cg to go back to prodigy in few months. Prodigy had a lot of action, the server wasn't slow and wasn't rely upon high mechanical skills.
I hope there working on a big patch that they can come back to.

I would cut my losses at this point and sell all the properties(except for the CG house) and do something else. G6 workers gonna be multi millionaires by the time K makes any money from his real state company.
The issue is only the civilians are the ones making any real money, and CG doesn't grind.

My BIGGEST concern as of right now is them coming up with some sort of BOGUS law saying that all people running businesses without a business license are committing a crime and them and all of their employees working for them must be arrested. If they do indeed release that kind of a BOGUS law then I'm sorry but I myself am going to feel that it is 100 percent targeted at CG.

So, from what i understand is that they dont allow grinders, but are also making people desperate to grind. Kinda confusing on one hand, but on the other hand it just looks like they are trying to get rid of people having prio without telling u they are trying this
They banned Kaiba for grinding and lowered his prio.
All because he did a few too many G6 runs at the start of 4.0 in the first week. Then they end up buffing grinders and especially G6. While nerfing all the creativity on the server.
Make it make sense. Seems like the devs really have no clue what they're doing. Server launched too fast and the ideas they implement seem all half-way done. When you don't even watch daily or at least 8 hours a day as a viewer you have no clue anymore whats going on because they seem to be tweaking everything every other day.
If you realistically look at 4.0 so far its really not that great.
That sigh felt so defeated. Just go back to prodigy already. This gate keeping content, controlling content, PD overlords is already getting old.
If devs where smart about it they would being giving tax brakes for new businesses and helping new start ups not taxing people to keep them poor

@damien7157 You don't understand the problem. There was already a tax on top of the property listed value, and Kebun knew that the utility bill was going to be added and he planned for it. This new tax is the third fee added to the housing system now, and how do we know there won't be a fourth added at this point?

The point is, what's to say they don't add other fees later like you have to pay for a lawn service, or utilities separate to include a water bill, then they make it to where you have to pay for internet, or they make you have to pay for insurance.

I don't get why they are staying on Nopixel. I stopped watching 3.0, started watching again when they started on Prodigy. Was really enjoying the content on Prodigy. I tried watching 4.0 and it's just garbage. Check some clips from time to time to see if it's getting any better. Nope..
