Not a packers fan but Alexander is def a great corner. Watching them all year offenses usually tend to not throw the ball on his side because they know the threat he possesses. Also I feel like it’s very hard to stay consistent as a corner in the nfl. He’s been doing it awhile and in my opinion definitely top 10 in todays league
After watching corner play the last 3 to 4 years I can comfortably say Jaire is the best man coverage corner in the league. He actually dictates where the recievers go with his punches and he clamps down at the top of the route. What I like most about his game is he doesn’t need to use hands to stay in phase. And to top it off he’s a playmaker that will take the ball away if giving an opportunity. He’s physical in the run game too. God willing he’ll be a problem for a long time
@@DuhBirdBrain tbf entire offense was choking. wrs led the league in drops, tonyan was a ghost, rodgers injured, jones had a career high of fumbles and lafleur was getting outcoached consistently. just a terrible season, hope we ball out this year
@@ricardorivera7549 the offense was poop and yet we were still a W away from the playoffs. If we ball out we can def make a title run, but it will heavily depend on how good Love is!!!
5:22 Not sure what #29 Douglas saw in that formation, but he was pointing right at Alexander just before the snap. Good call on Douglas' part, and good execution by Alexander.
@tieoneon1614 the fact that it took so long for GB to take him out of the slot when he very obviously was way way better on the outside was frustrating man.
6:15 I do believe a WR still hasn’t gained over 5 yards on this play while lined up with Jaire. He’s very good at stopping them, Thielen and Diggs comes to mind.
Love Jaire man I played against Lamar in HS and followed his career to Louisville never missed watching a game literally and it was this scrappy #10 just strapping taking punt returns to the house , causing 3 turnovers against national champion Clemson in 2016 and learned it was Jaire and I followed him ever since.. Jaire even cried when Lamar got drafted lol had to stop his whole interview man it’s special seeing Jaire still be the same pest feisty and flat out gangsta on that field
I know he's a great cover corner, but impresses me the most is his reads on these backfield throws and screens. And his ability to slip under blockers and get the tackle for a loss. Th
last years offense w this defense w a healthy rashan gary (fun fact w rashan gary we were #2 in pressure rate in the nfl, without rashan we were #28) could have made a deeeeeep playoff run.
“We’re seeing Justin Fields grow as a passer.” The fact they said this before that pick is hilarious. Dude grew from a 59% comp rate to a 60% comp rate. At that rate he might finally be good in 4 more years. Some crazy growth you’re seeing.
I’m not a Packers fan I’m a eagles fan but Jaire Alexander but he is not the bigger he is like 5’11 I’m 5’8 and he shuts down the biggest in the best WRs and I do the same definitely one of the best he’s the one I look at to be because like I said he’s not the biggest but he’s one of the strongest and fastest in the league and I’ll look at that because I want to the strongest and I want to do faster so
Well I hate the Packers and good thing they didn’t make it to the playoffs and Jaire Alexander had a bad day in Week 1 against Justin Jefferson and he couldn’t stopped him because he was all over the place with 10 catches for 184 yards and two touchdowns. He was wide open.
What’s your point? That you watched a 10 min video of JA’s plays just to say that you hate the pack? LMAO just say you’re a fan. Watch the last viking vs packers game, I didn’t see Jefferson getting more than 20 yards the whole game
Justin Jefferson said the packers didn’t really covered him because they were playing zone. Both Jaire and JJ both said they didn’t really get to see each other that much on week one. And JJ said the reason why he got that stats because no one was covering him. 😂 And when the packers did cover him. We saw the results. Jaire owned him.
Jaire Alexander is overrated. He allowed more yards in coverage than any other defensive back against the Bears. Well over 100. They won those games but if they lost, he would have been to blame. The man was salty as any low-character individual could be. He only got an INT at Soldier Field because he couldn't keep his ego in check, in a game the Packers already had won. The Bears gave it to him to get a premium draft pick. He intercepted Tua when he shouldn't have had cleared concussion protocol. Any defensive back would've caught that throw. It was easier to catch than a kickoff. Not to mention he got burned earlier in that game earlier on Jaylen Waddle's 84 yard touchdown. He got no-called for that PI on CeeDee which forced the Cowboys to punt it to Aaron Rodgers, one of the best quarterbacks in the league. His second game against Justin Jefferson was overblown due to a lack of PI calls, in a game where it didn't matter who won. The Vikings were a clear 3 seed and the Packers were not going to the playoffs. But alas, he will be good in 2023, probably top 10, but only because the offense will be bad, so offenses will not need to try hard to win, thus, making him look better. He is worth keeping around but is by no means a star.
@raybrean9889 Still overrated. They were going to win that game anyways but it might've appeared close at the time he picked him off. I'm wrong about him being overrated if he repeats his 2022 season, although it will be easier to with NFL offenses not needing to score as much with Rodgers gone.
bro what 💀💀 do you not know that this was jaires best season AND he is an all pro and went to the pro bowl?!?!? he had a season high of 5 INTs and locked up multiple receivers. he’s too 3 corner easy.
