- The Star Adders are one of the most powerful clans in the home systems. Their fleet near rivals that of the snow ravens, their armies are a powerful mix of combined arms featuring 'mechs, armour, infantry and battlesuits.
Probably the most distinct element of the clan is it's view of the Kerensky family. Where the other clans venerate them as near deific personalities, the star adders see them as brilliant leaders and tacticians. This hasn't gone over well with the other home clans but they dare not risk outright conflict with the star adders who show little signs of weakness.
Officially, I'm a staunch Davionist. But when it comes to the Clans, I find the Star Adders to be my kind of Clan. If I were an Inner Sphere Warrior and I were taken as a bondsman by them, I think they would most assuredly mold me into a hardened Star Adder warrior.
I said this during the stream yesterday (Friday) but I'll say it again: As a viewer Rocket and the bro I appreciate the
knowledge of MW that you two share with your viewers. I get some pretty good information that as only a player of MechWarrior/Mechcommander and not battletech had minimal understanding of many of the different aspects within the universe.
Always fond for the strategic mindset of the Adders. Detail and thorough in their planning. And their Watch agency are very smart.

well the new battletech game will be here sometime next year so far development looks to be going very well head on over tot he forums the devs are happy to respond to questions and its a generally nice place for BT fans to hang out.

One of the few clans modeled more like a military unit than a cult. What Clan Wolf is to tactics, Star Adder is to strategy. Not unlike how Anastasius Focht was the strategic mastermind of stopping the clan invasion.

finally i'm not much of a clanner but i have found this clan to by my fav i have a question though for anyone are cybernetics only used among the clans?
Everyone uses them, although naturally the clan version is better in every way. Cybernetics really only had any impact on the tabletop roleplaying game though.
thanks i love your vids they really help for someone relatively new to the lore like my self got my hands on a complete collection of the books loved them then bashed my face agianst mw4 and mw3 before moving on to mwo then finding the new battletech saying fuck it and throwing money into the kickstarter.

I really, REALLY want the Blood Asp in MWO. Course that means jumping the timeline and the introduction of Heavy lasers.
It will appear one day. A lot of people are asking for the time jump. personally I will find that day to be a real shame because so many classic 'mechs will be left out.
Critical Rocket I just like the Mech. Could care less about the Heavy Lasers, just want the Mech.
Only one thing positive could come with a timeline jump, the end of the "Clans are OP/IS is OP" whinners. Jump the timeline to where you can have Clan Weapons on IS Mechs and those people can just fuck the hell off. Most of them dont understand the Clan was MEANT to be much MUCH more powerful than the equivelant IS mech of that weight, Timber Wolf vs Marauder.
No one in MWO would EVER play Clan as its supposed to be, One on One no ganging up on your opponents.

+memnarch129 I'd love to see a mode that pitted a Binary vs a company and gave you c-bill penalties and rewards based on Zellbrigen (only for the clanners obviously). I'm not sure it would be "good" but it sure would be fun!
well there needs to be something more in my opinion to bring mwo more into the battletech world.
