I enjoy these videos from Iceland. I will never get to Iceland but this shows me what I am missing. Thanks again beautiful there.
I'm sure you'll get there one day!
Never say never ! This is paradise!
Think I'm gonna change my reservation from June to May. It looks so quiet in your videos!
Hi, thanks for watching! May was definitely a good month but keep in mind that we were in Iceland just after it opened to vaccinated travelers back in 2021, so it'll likely be more crowded now
Thank you guys! Cool video and information... very useful!
Iceland looks incredible
Great shots and great vlog - funny and entertaining :)
You got a new subscriber I just so happen to be strolling around on my phone streaming to my TV and I got recommended your Channel. Can't wait to continue the adventures with you and now I got to go binge your previous videos
Awesome! Thank you so much for the Support!
@@TheAwkwardTourists of course and thank you for the great content
Really like the video and content. OnLy suggestion is to show your location on a map.
I had thought about that when editing. I'll add some in for the next video
Loved your videos thus far! You guys are simply awesome and fun and so so informative!! Thank you for all videos on the places you have visited thus far! We are off to Iceland too and this certainly helps! Keep them coming!!😘😍
Thank you that means a lot! And thanks for watching!
I am loving your Iceland videos! Thanks for helping me plan my Ring Road adventure.
Glad you are finding them useful! Iceland Is incredible. Hope you have an amazing trip!
Epic drone footage! Also I got a big kick out of the gratuitous walkie-talkie codenames.
Thanks, That was all Kevin. He loves those walkie talkies...haha
Thank you for pronouncing Vik correctly!
We watched a video on commonly mispronounced Icelandic Words. That was on the list.... haha
Great video love it.
Thank you
While watching your videos I was wondering if we were in Iceland around the same time - aaaand yup we were at Friðheimar together. (I see ourselves in the background). Cheers! Hope you had an awesome time on your trip!
No way! Thats so cool! Wish we could have connected that would have been awesome
@@TheAwkwardTourists Next time! :)
Great video. Really loved it 👍
Thanks so much
Great video guys really enjoyed it, nice blend of chat & beautiful cinematic shots. Iceland is so epic, the glaciers & canyon are amazing - loved the walkie-talkie idea that's inspired! We need to do that! The camper looked perfect for exploring the country without having to 'head back to base' every night, it looks really well set-up especially with wifi provided...sums up the Nordic/Scandic countries really - very well set-up!
Thank you! The walkies really do help for photos, and they are super fun to goof around with
love yore videos am from icland my self
Thanks for sharing your country with us! We had a great time
Excellent video. The drone footage is truly awesome. What a stunning country. You are both very likeable too. Keep up the good work 👍
Thank you so much for the support! The new drone is really a step up. The footage is 5.4k and my editing program is having trouble keeping up with it
Hey guys! Your videos are a great resource as I am currently planning our itinerary out to Iceland for next month (July 2021)… we will be staying on the southern end (Vik, Glacier Lagoon) and so this has been great to watch and learn about other sites to visit. Oh!!! And I can’t wait to go hike the new volcano too!! :) - Adam
Awesome! Glad you find the videos useful! Have an great trip!
Great Vlog👍! Beautiful areas you are going to, looks cold but at least the weather seems to be kinda cooperating! The new drone shots are incredible! Those icebergs look so cool with the volcanic sand mixed up through them! Would be a really cool pattern to put on a jacket or dress....hmm, sell some drone footage to Calvin Klein? 🤔😄🤑 love the bloopers, gotta imagine that the "Oh, It's recording" has been said more than once in your travels! lol!
This new drone Is really crisp compared to the old one. Now we need to upgrade our main camera to keep up!
That is a good idea to use walkie talkie 👏🏻👏🏻👍 i enjoy your videos by the way. New subcriber ✋
Thanks for subbing! The walkie talkies make a huge difference, and they are fun to use too
You guys are like the next “Kara and Nate” and “The Endless Adventure” your videos give off the same vibes when they first started. It’s shocking how empty Reynisfjara beach is from your videos, what time did you visit beach? Looking forward to your next video, going to take influence on what to do on my trip to Iceland =)
😭😭😭 thank you, we should be so lucky! They have incredible channels, so to even be mentioned is so nice of you! Iceland was really empty in general, at least when this was filmed. I think we went to Reynisfjara around 6 or 7 pm
@@TheAwkwardTourists How long ago did you film it? I found your video looking for how crowded Iceland is currently.
I LOVED the Tomato restaurant....not the ice cream though...lol
We didn't the ice cream, but it was probably the best tomato soup we have ever had
I didn’t realize you guys did these videos in April or May haha. I kept thinking these were from June
Nope, We did a 5 month trip starting in the beginning of May, We filmed a ton during that time, but were only able to put out one video a week when we were on the road. So we are a little behind, but trying to catch up now
@@TheAwkwardTourists oh ok keep up the great content
Love the BTTF reference! As the weather is heating up here, I like to pretend I'm cooling off with you guys. Are there any trees in Iceland?
Very few trees Mark, But we were able to find a few to camp by on a couple nights
Hello guys, amazing videos, congratulations, thanks for sharing that amazing tips. I’m planning a trip and im a little worried about drone regulation, did you have any problems with that?
No problems at all. Iceland is very drone friendly, Just follow the rules (no flying over 450 ft, maintain eyesight, 5 miles from airports... etc) Some of the popular tourists sights will have no drone signs, but there are plenty of places to fly
Another great vídeo. I love it very much👏👏👏. Only one question, you dont’t visited the golden circle? See you in the next episode, take care :))
We skipped most of the golden circle this trip. We were saving it for the end but we ran out of time
Reynisfjara is sometimes called the "chinese takeaway" by the locals. For obvious reasons!
I don't get it.....
I stumbled on your "Flying to Iceland" video and absolutely loved watching it. I love watching you guys enjoy our beautiful country :D Hope you enjoy/enjoyed your stay here in Iceland :D
We loved Iceland! Thanks for watching!
13:53 hey guys do you might remember where this glacier is approximately?
It was part of the Vatnajökull National Park Glacier, I'm not sure. what spot exactly but the whole area has a ton of ice that is accessible.
Loving all you videos so far! You content is definitely super helpful. Can I bother you with a question? The PCR test you guys did before leaving Iceland to go back to another country, how long it took for the results? And the results were via email? App?. Thank you so much in advance.
They say that the results are guaranteed within 24 hours, and we got ours in about 12 hours. We received an email with the test results.
Thank you for the videos. We're going to Iceland in August. Will study (!!) your videos for pointers. Were you in Iceland in May or June? It seems colder than I'd expected. Thanks.
We were in Iceland from May 1st- May 19th. We have been told it was the coldest May that they have had in a very long time
Thanks for this new videos. We'll be there before end of next month. I just learned that it is a requirement to get covid test before coming back to US, where did you do testing and how soon did you do it before your departure from Iceland?
Ernesto - Go to COVID.is for info. I got tested at a clinic in Reykjavik about 48 hours before my flight back to the US. I showed up at the appointed time and it took less than ten minutes. They emailed the results with a letter to show at the airport during check in. Keep checking the site often, because the Icelandic authorities recently announced there will be changes in the next week or so regarding the requirements. It sounds like it’s going to be a lot simpler soon.
I love your video. May I ask you a question? I am going rent happy camper for my Iceland road trip. Just wondering where did you hide your luggage. I have 2 medium luggages. Thank you!
Thanks! We were able to store a duffel bag and large backpack underneath the bed in the storage area. We also brought one hard sided suitcase and there was not room for that, so we had to keep in by the door and move it every time we wanted in or out. It was a pain, If you can, try to avoid hard sided luggage when in the camper
Great video! Are most places in Iceland still requiring masks? Or is it mainly in restaurants/larger cities?
When we were there, everywhere indoors required a mask. But you should check updated regulations before you go
Where did you sleep after you visited the diamond beach? I'll be Iceland in 2 weeks :)
We stayed at a guesthouse in Hofn. It was about an hour drive from Diamond beach
I went to Iceland in December 2019 and we are going back this December. We are renting a car this time and doing ring road. How long of a day was this for you guys?
We drove the Ring road over 2 weeks, and we still had to pick and choose where we stopped. I've heard that you can do the whole thing in a week, but longer is better
