any volvo 2010 and up is junk like this...wires too small and melting plug ins .also the engine cover holds heat in and makes the wiring harness brittle, so the exterior covers of the wires fall off and bare wires get exposed. the motors dont hold up (cheap metals in the blocks) so a job like this is $350 for the pump and $1500 in labor to take the tank out . ive been in the 2012 s60's they feel cheap and not very good quality so i personally would never buy 1 . just 1 last fyi if IT like the S60 2002-2009 ones they have a Shrader valve on the rail after the second start no fuel will come out and you know in like 10 mins if the pump is pumping ..

Auto makers now use soy covered wiring...to be more environmentally friendly. Rats and mice love it... Heat also destroys this quickly.
