I’m Latin Catholic who lives in Turkey. I really like your videos Father Seraphim. Please pray for Turkish converts. Most of them are having hard times because of their families.

    Hello Father
I’m writing this because I’m in deep spiritual turmoil. I’m doubting Church as a Catholic, yet I don’t know which way is THE Way, and not « my way ».
I can’t listen to my heart since it is corrupted. How can one know if he is in the right way ?
I’m humbly asking for prayers, because I truly am lost.
    Thank you 🙏

Father Seraphim, please take care of yourself. Your messages of the glory of God and our Savior, Jesus Christ, are needed now more than ever. Evil surrounds us in every corner, and your words help sustain us and give us the power to fight the evil one and seek the face of God. Blessings to you for all you do.

I am a ceramics teacher in Arizona. I have followed your ministry and podcast for several years now and have benefited tremendously from the things I have learned from the church fathers and desert fathers you so often speak of. It is a wonderful surprise to learn that you also are a potter...a connection I would have never expected! I always tell my students pottery is the oldest art form there is because it is the only specific art form we have an account of God engaging in directly. I love it! How I wish I could come to the monasteries and see the work you are doing. "Dead tired"...yes, I also know that well :) I continue to pray for your ministry. Thank you for sharing, it sounds like many good things are happening there.

Doxa to Theo! Very grateful for you and all monastics Father. We will continue to keep you all in our prayers. Please pray for Jamiliee (baptismal name Nawal- Noelle- Christmas) Bryan (baptismal name - Joshua) and myself- Mariam (baptismal name- Ruth).
We were just replenished here at St Paraskevi Monastery in Washington Texas, close to us in Houston for the feast of St Paraskevi who has lovingly brought my little family and I into great healing through her intercessions.
From the vigil to the liturgy, to be with our monastics from St Anthony Monastery, Holy Archangels and St Paraskevi- to hear their chanting and see 22 clergy and people flocking to be in Christ’s love was the most filling experience.
We hope to make it to a pilgrimage with you one day as well. Until then, we are so very grateful for your teaching which contribute so much to our coming alive in Christ as Orthodox Christians.
All I can really say is- Glory to God! We are very thankful for your love. God bless and keep all at the Iona and Mull Monasteries- as well as all monastics thru the world. Amin!

I'm a convert praying for my family, with high level Masons. Because of abuse, eating disorder, addiction, everyone thought I was fighting temptations of the flesh. My life was one of excruciating isolation. It was pride. Demonic level blindness. Somewhere in the community prayer and offering of labor and fatigue was the grace I needed. I didn't understand Moses in the cleft of the rock. The only suffering I knew was from evil. God turning his back in love was beyond my comprehension. Suffering with Christ is knowing I'm not alone! I thank God for community's vocations.❤

I appreciate you Fr Seraphim so much. I often listen to you in the middle of the night, and one night you mentioned how fond you were of St Sophrony. I looked him up on the Internet and knew I had to read his writings. I am an Eastern/Roman Catholic and I had a mystical experience about a year and a half ago. I searched the scriptures and the writings from the Western saints, but nothing really clicked with me. Then I read Sophrony and it was like reading my own words/thoughts/experience in his book. I often pray to him now and seek his prayers and guidance. He has been of great comfort to me in explaining what happened, how to deal with the mix of feelings afterwards, how to respond to God afterwards. Sometimes I think the Lord directed him to write just for me and my salvation. I have cried just about every day since this mystical experience, feeling so isolated from anyone who has had such a divine encounter. I do not know why God chose to visit me in such a manner, only He knows. It is such a humbling thing, knowing God in such a real intimate way. Also rather scary like on Mount Tabor. But one just cannot go back to the way things were.

Dear Fr Seraphim, Fired and inspired by your ardent love and obedience to God, you and your family are drained of physical energy and creative initiatives. Your lives are constantly on the edge of the future - new projects, plans, improvements. You and love and obedience mirror the non-stop work of God in the world and for the sake of the world. What you envision is for the enrichment of the community's response to those who will visit, and also for those who will stay with you as they consider their vocations. Such blessed work indeed. I loved your concluding words and prayed to God my thanks for your lives and for understanding the true meaning of your inspired work : you said ( I quote somewhat broadly ) 'We are exhausted, but we know that this is needed on the Islands; it is the work of God, it is the purpose and meaning of our lives and it will be the fruit of our passing through this life'. my heart wept on hearing the last phrase; sacrificial lives whose only vision and integrity, is to do the work needed for God. Blessings surround and uphold you and refreshment and strength be renewed in you. In Christ, for Christ eternally.

Dear Fr. Seraphim, you look too tired, dear Father! I will pray hard to St. Seraphim and the Mother of God to grant you restoration of physical strength and protection from all evil. Please take care of your physical body as we all need you, Father. We need you and the monasteries you are building with the help of God and all those who send their support. May it increase!
Nektarios and I send our love. You all are in our hearts.

    Dear Father.
Glory be to God for you and your encouraging words that give me strength to not despair in my salvation. Even though I truly am in my very depth a pathetic and wretched sinner. God’s unfailing love has led me to your loving words. Oh how beautiful it is to see the simplicity in the lives of you and your brothers and sisters. Hopefully one day I can be like you father, But today all I’m able to muster is tears to God. Keep me in your prayers father. Pray for me for I’m truly in danger of perishing. I hope one day I’ll be able to meet you in person so that I can look into those loving eyes and see the Grace of Christ that look at me through your soul. May God remember us in his Kingdom dear father.
    All my love and support,
    Abel.

Father, thank you so much for this video ! Your optimism despite the exhaustion is very encouraging. I myself have joined a small monastery to help out with the welcoming of pilgrims, and have thus seen the amount of mental and physical work that this task requires. I was wondering whether there are also cases of burnout in this kind of situations. How you make your and your flock's life easier when you need to deal with the logistics of hosting and feeding pilgrims throughout the summer ? God bless you, I will keep you and the monastery in my prayers !!!
