- Jason Bialek describes the new Honeywell Anthem avionics from Honeywell Aerospace. I've included a lot of video b-roll in this video, supplied by Honeywell, so you can see a lot of Anthem glass cockpit system details.
Honeywell Anthem avionics is scalable for use in business jets and down to single-engine pistons, and also helicopters and eVTOLs. It features an always-on, cloud-connected flight deck, so pilots can configure the aircraft before they arrive. A web browser connects to 3rd party apps and websites. It also includes an engine-out glide ring and 3D ROAAS, or Runway Overrun Awareness and Alerting System.

Honeywell Aerospace is best known for its Primus glass cockpits, used primarily in business jets and turboprops, but Jason tells us the new Anthem is also targeted for use in both jets and single engine piston aircraft.
Here are some additional facts that didn't come up in the conversation. Anthem is not shipping today, but first deliveries are expected in 2023. They also expect to make retrofit systems for older aircraft by 2025. And their launch customers are interesting. They include two eVTOL aircraft. One is the VA-X4 from Vertical Aerospace, and the other is the 7-Seat Lilium Jet.

Very interesting video, the future is here and it is sexy.
Very engaging conversation from both.
Hey Max, great interview with Jason. I hope the Cirrus cap Jason was wearing is a signal that we can expect a Honeywell Anthem option for the Cirrus SR Series soon. The Garmin G1000 Perspective Plus is good but does have some limitations considering the basic platform is almost 11 years old now. Hope you're doing well. I'm keeping the Blue Side up down here in OZ. G'Day.
Sure hope you will replace the Garmin systems for small aircraft( Cirrus sf50 vision).
Fab video
Thank you, I'm glad you like it!
So at 10:10 he had to click the close button 4 times before the menu closed. This has Windows 8 written all over it. I'll wait for service pack 2.
Capt. Dunsel - this is a simulator limitation that does not occur on the avionics in the aircraft. The touch performance in this system is incredible. Very comfortable. Would love to have you come out and fly with us to experience the system first hand. Please DM me.
