Yo why am I crying for Baekyung? His character is so sad and lonely. He has an abusive father that's why he thinks that being aggressive solves everything. He only had his mother and she died. He was never given the chance to experience what it's like to be truly loved and redeem himself.

i just thought that he is imposing his feelings on her as her fiance is because he knows that, their engagement is the last thing he could hold on to. he dont want to lose dan oh to haru, even though baek kyung knows fully well that they love each other
You guys forgot They both grew up and loved each other since they were little kids "for real". In fact Baek Kyung was probably loving her more than she did him (as hinted with the lover's stone breaking in a way BK has a bigger half).
But this was all she "woke up" and became self aware. Suddenly trying to resist her fate. Initially she was trying to resist the writer and get away from the Baek Kyung- that version the Writer forced him to be and behaved, a non aware BK.
BK's feelings however didn't change, even after becoming aware.
Their memories since childood and feelings felt real for him.
By the time he woke up, it was a bit too late since Dab Oh was already into Haru while also believing that none of BKs feelings were true. She never really understood that he liked her from the start.
My point is that, he was entering a losing battle, trailing behind and never really had a chance to prove himself and fight to win her back. It was already quite biased against him.

I think people who like baek kyung (including me) dont necessarily like him as a better option for danoh, because he certainly is not. We like him because he is a complex character and imo much much more interesting than haru. He has a well developed background and everything he does has a reason. All his life he's been trapped between his hatred towards his dad, his love for danoh and also the fear of losing her. He has all these pent up anger and frustrations that he doesnt know how to deal with that he sadly ends up hurting the person that he cares about the most. Baek kyung is far from perfect but that's what make him so interesting.

I feel sorry for baek kyung, he got loved by a girl that is his father's bussines partner daughter for 10 years and he did't like her (he never realize that in the "story" he is too rude to danoh and he also got traumatized of person with weak heart, because his mom death in front of his eyes), his family is broken, always got punched by his father because he forced to love her, and after he realizet that they were in comic book he started to love the girl (but the girl hated him so much because in the 10 years memory baekyung is just being rude to her) :')
In this scene and in the next scene at home, Dan Oh should have strongly condemned Kyung and said that she only loves Haru instead of being silent

I simply can't understand why so many people ship Dan Oh and Baekyung when she *clearly* doesn't want to be with him. You can't just force someone to like you. She likes Haru therefore she should be with him. All of you want Baekyung to be happy but what about Dan Oh? Her happiness matters too.
Not to mention Baekyung is still emotionally abusive even though he's admitted he likes her. So what if he's like that because of his dad. It doesn't excuse his behavior. He's still been an ass to Dan Oh and that's not ok. He had his chance with Dan Oh but he didn't like her until after Haru entered the picture. To me, that isn't love. That's him being jealous and not wanting her to be with someone else.
Haru's feelings and intentions are pure. Baekyung's are not. Baekyung just needs to back off. Dan Oh doesn't want to be with him and, if he really liked her, he would let her go be with Haru because that is what will make her happy. I'm just so done with people romanticizing a controlling and emotionally abusive relationship. It honestly makes me sick.

So instead of shipping him with Dan oh I'm just hoping the writer is going to give him a happy ending. It could be a new girl whom he didnt spend the timing with, or it could be his family got better and more loving.
You know that boy was getting frustrated from his family, from his character that always breaks Dan oh. When his character walked away, as soon as the stage is over he wanted to run back to Dan oh but there was always haru. Not being able to help Dan oh, breaking her heart these were messing his mind. We could see that.
So yeah...
And i think baek Kyung sincerely likes Dan oh. You know it was a little late when he got self aware so it's not exactly like oh there is another guy now I should like Dan oh but it was more like woah I can have my own feelings now why do I keep thinking about Dan oh

I can see a lot of opinions between Haru and Kyung so I guess I should drop mine.
Haru is the typical guy in a drama selfless, romantic etc and so is Kyung. I've seen a lot of dramas wherein the male lead is a bad guy coming from a broken family and someone who really needs attention but the difference is that kyung character has no improvement, it only happened at the last episode of the drama. We all know that reason why Danoh isn't fond of Kyung is because of his behavior. Let's face the fact that no girl would want to be treated and rejected in front of many people. While Haru, yes in his character, it is less interesting but that is what an nameless extra portrays they are not meant to stand out in front of many people and I think that's the reason why that he has no background in the story unlike the other characters whose name were written on the book.
We all know that the answer will be up to Danoh. Not from the two guys ☺️
