The guy with the glowing mask is The Apocalypse DJ the drummer of SIP. Chris Adam the singer of Smash was the one wearing the hat which you are correct with!.APOC is the mascot of Smash because the band does have it's own story, the finger lasers is a new addition and I am a little bit anxious about the colour of his mask in this video. SIP is an electro rock band so it is good to hear Chris in a more metal song and always good to see APOC play the drums. APOC is a superhero in the band's story which gets referenced a few times in their songs mostly Let Me Be Your Superhero. Smash Into Pieces is a Swedish band and last year they participated in Melodifestivalen to try and get to Eurovision they became third with the song Six Feet Under. That song is about the long period of depression the singer experienced and is a little less upbeat than their normal stuff this year they are at Melo again this time with Heroes Are Calling sadly the full song is not out yet but what little bit I heard I already loved. This song is connected to their story of Arcadia and so probably has to do with APOC they have also said that it is connected to the band's motto and philosophy "don't let anything stand between you and your dreams, if it does smash it into pieces". They actually have banners with that quote in the venue when on tour, I was able to meet them last year they are really nice guys one band member Banjo one of the guitarists was at home writing songs though so I did not get to meet him. Their other guitarist is Per and they do not have a bassist there was a guitar tech that took Banjo's place. So for some song recomendations and I will stick to their newer albums with their electro rock sound are: Venom (I never can get enough of this song), Arcadia (sets up the story nicely together with), Wake Up, Real One, Everything They S4y, Flow, The Rain (just a really good ballad), Trigger (so far their newest song) and Broken Parts (really nice introduction to the antagonist of the band's story. Have fun discovering my favourite band!
And as of yesterday SIP made it through to the finale of Mello .❤🔥 I know there are many more rounds to come but I really hope our favourite band gets to perform on the big stage in Malmö in May. Saw them twice live now and got to meet them last year as well. Such nice guys and the concerts are soo much fun!!! I introduced my mom to that band and their music and she loves SIP just as much :) They totally deserve to go to ESC! However, I might be a bit biased when it comes to Smash Into Pieces. Not saying the other artists aren't talented...
