NOTE: The use of "strange" in the title refers to its dictionary definition of "different from what is usual, ordinary, or expected," and solely refers to the grammatical features of the languages featured. I encourage you to learn more about endangered languages and what we can do to help save them around the world, and to donate (if you can!) to the Endangered Language fund at www.endangeredlanguagefund.org/
Brilliant concept and execution, Thomas! The breadth and depth of your repertoire knowledge are truly apparent in your work, and it seems you’ve developed a compelling and sophisticated compositional voice early in life (not to mention your incredible library of “Classical Nerd” videos). I’m fascinated to hear realizations for the other four movements of “Strange Languages” if you’ve made them available somewhere. You’re doing really inspiring work, all around.
Thank you very much! While the Lyds will be doing a recording session of more of my quartet music next month, they aren't doing any of the other movements of this piece. The remaining movements of _Strange Languages_ are done, but have not undergone the fine-tooth-combed layer of revision that I give to pieces for performance, and I don't typically use notation software for its playback purposes.
